“Department of Justice will not be improperly influenced by political considerations.” Jeff, this is GREAT, what everyone wants, so look into all of the corruption on the “other side” including deleted Emails, Comey lies & leaks, Mueller conflicts, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Ohr...…

——They have to get through the election first-—

I have considered this and concluded you are right.

My conclusion is that it doesn’t matter how the election turns out, the coming hurricane will negate a loss to the left and not really be effected by a win. The storm will destroy the left and leave it in shambles and assure a win of everything in 2020.

Your analysis of the simultaneous games is likely true as well. I do not put much weight on the future actions of the never trumpers because it is obvious they have lost and to continue, they must return to the flock.

Like the man said “We’ll see”

Meantime, I rejoice at the Trump effect on my IRA and the general spirit of well being seen all over.

If Sessions resigns, Rosenstein is the acting AG until Trump can get his own person in there. Trump will fire Rosenstein and force Sessions to resign after the midterms and the Kavanaugh confirmation.

There are ways Trump can communicate with Sessions without speaking directly. There are plenty of trusted go-betweens in the WH that can keep the lines of communication busy.

The idea that Trump communicates with Sessions ONLY by Twitter doesn't pass the smell test. I think this is a ruse--theater--created by Trump to keep "partisan DC media and the uniparty legislative branch" in the dark as to what is really being said between Trump and Sessions.

And, as you said:

Sessions...has revealed that he is totally independent of the President.
Think about that. That is precisely the impression that Sessions and Trump would want the public--and particularly the enemies of the administration--to have.

I don't think that is just a coincidence. I think that is by design.

I’m not aware of any vote on the Iran Deal, either as a treaty, or an agreement. I believe it was all Obama and the Dems.

If I’m wrong, please let me know.

You're wrong.

It was a bill by Republican Senator Bob Corker and even the phony "constitutional conservative" Ted Cruz signed it.

God is at work in peoples lives and situations all the time, it’s in the bible.

Sessions being corrupt etc is likely given his time in DC, maybe not grand scale corruption as others past and present in DC but I doubt anyone can go there for years and not be corrupted. No i don’t have evidence other than he doesn’t seem to be doing some things the president has been wanting done, so sessions saying he is carrying out Presidents agenda seems in part untrue.

"Vacancies Act of 1998 allows a president to by-pass the next-in-line bureaucrat and ‘interim’ appoint anyone already approved by the Senate for a different job. No Congressional recess is necessary."

Good information. I did some reading about it and it would seem to allow an interim appointment (somewhere between 120-210 days, not certain)if Trump can piss off Sessions enough to get him to resign.

----------------------------

I'm assuming he is doing the Twitter and public comments approach since his attorneys have advised him to avoid firing the guy. Presumably it would be reason enough to charge him with obstructing justice, i.e. an overt act on his part to limit or dismiss Mueller.

Sessions reputation is already in tatters so it must be something very important to him about family which presents him from doing the honorable thing?

A whole raft of PDJT's long time friends have been charged, intimidated or suffered serious financial hardship because of the Mueller Witch Hunt. Our President would do something about that today if he could, but obviously he is restrained in some way and Jeff Sessions is at the bottom of it.

I'll trust that Our President will act when he can do something proactive about this sad state of affairs.

“...He’s instantly a nobody. If they came out with dirt on Sessions at THAT point...”

I totally get your reasoning that if Sessions quits he becomes a nobody and so it would no longer matter if the enemedia came out with dirt; and therefore pressure of that sort would not be applied to keep Sessions from resigning.

However, Sessions has all along played the noble-southern- gentleman card and could not bear to have his honor sullied, even if it no longer mattered to the larger picture,.

I am not attached to the above possibility; it is tempting to come up with various possible scenarios because much of what is going on is behind the scenes and remains a mystery.

By the way - no offense to any southern gentlemen is meant - my son-in-law is from Georgia and he and his Dad are both wonderful and admirable southern gentlemen.

“...However, Sessions has all along played the noble-southern- gentleman card and could not bear to have his honor sullied...”

But if that were true, how could he possibly stand being ripped to shreds by Trump on Twitter?

If today’s tweet isn’t an assault on Sessions “honor” by Trump, I don’t know what is.

Theory #13: Trump is being a gentleman and suggesting do something or resign.

The FACT is that, Sessions no longer has an excuse to continue recusing himself. The collusion story has been proved to be a complete hoax, perpetrated by the DNC and the Hillary campaign and the FBI and DOJ officials and the Obama administration.

Trump should point that out to Sessions, who has not had any good reason to butt out of the investigations. Sessions should have intervened and interjected himself into the investigations, and if necessary, obstructed the investigations, because, investigating a hoax by the same criminals that fabricated it, is a waste of time and money and resources and is insulting to the collective minds of the American people.

Once the investigations end, the other set of investigations should begin, and that is of the people that attempted to overthrow the duly elected president of the U.S. And, that includes Mueller himself, because, he knows that he has been a phony investigating a phony story from the start.

The idea that a POTUS has to hash out a debate with a recalcitrant cabinet member on Twitter is horrifying.
