Hey, Americans! Do you want free stuff? To this, America resoundingly answered, “Do you think I’m an idiot? Of course I want free stuff.”

I think that is the key line in the article.

It’s like asking the kids if they want a pool. You bet, dad!

OK, so we’ll take it out of your allowance and clothing and food, and stick with oatmeal for most meals.

Suddenly nobody wants a pool.

They should ask people if they want free medicare if it means another 15% of their paycheck.

Polls are propaganda devices.

Let’s see all liberal leeches come up with 20% of a 50K hospital bill!

Impoverished illegals won't be asked for a Medicare co-pay, this is where Paul Ryan's entitlement reform comes into play. We'll be kicked up from a 20% co-pay to a 40% co-pay to smooth things out.

A more alarming and much more easily verified statistic:

49% of the country is below average intelligence.

Only idiots could propose this. And unfortunately there are many in America today.

Nope. This is not a scientific poll. This poll was done on leftist campuses in Washington State to get a specific result. Not buying.

I believe it, they polled a leftist college and only got less than half of democrats in favor of abolishing ICE and nearly 80 of republicans against the idea?

I am more in favor of a gradualist approach, where we reduce the age of medicare eligibility, reducing the impact on businesses paying for older americans healthcare, thereby increasing employment of older middle-age americans who have been largely shut out of the job market.

The age of burdening employers with healthcare expenses for their employees should end as no one else in the world really does it.

If its free - everyone would vote for Santa Claus.

Except of course it’s not really free - but fake pollsters don’t tell people about it.

If they think medical care is expensive now, wait until it’s ‘free.’

I’m surprised It isn’t closer to 100%, I guess it depends on how the question is worded.

Is it too late for the Rs to “repeal and replace” Obamacare? This time they really mean it!

It's what McCain may be remembered for, the thumbs down.

these polls are BS. I could go up to 100 strangers in the Mall and ask them if the would like to have a free car and a majority of them would say yes. If I asked them if they would like to have a new car but their income taxes would be more than doubled a majority would say no.
It is all good as long as it is someone else’s money. not so much when it is your money.....

I think younger folks think Medicare is free.

Medicare costs me $134 per month taken from my SS check.
Then to cover med plan (part D) it’s another $34.

I also have a level F medigap policy for $199/month (the money we saved when I came off my husband’s employee insurance, which turned out well), but very worth it to me because I have MS and some times that incurs expensive tests. The F plan, so far, has handled everything that Medicar doesn’t. Medicare without a gap policy is a regular 80/20 plan, if I’ve read the policy right unless you have a gap plan.

So Medicare would be like Canada where you can wait up till 6 months, sometimes longer, for a needed procedure

I hear about the Medicare programs where they pay for everything, but I think that is only if you use their doctors which probably works fine for folks without a lot of health issues.
