The defense counsel filed a motion seeking a gag order.
It is common to file a proposed order with the motion. The judge can sign the proposed order, or modify it (with handwritten amendments in the margins), or generate the court's own order. The fact that the defense counsel drafted a proposed order does not mean anything about how the court will rule, whether that order will issue, a modification of that order will issue or an order completely denying the motion will issue.
Ok, how about “not in the country legally”.
Thankfully there aren’t any orders against referring to him as Future Electric Chair Occupant.
ICE should be on the uncle’s doorstep deporting the whole family.
Sadly, Iowa won’t let him fry. They’d rather keep housing and feeding that monster the rest of his life.
Not for me, either.
They sold their kids’ BC 50 years ago.
And AFAIK the judge has not approved the gag order motion.
How long will it be before referring to someone as an illegal immigrant will be considered a criminal act of “hate speech”?

Iowa Board of Regents has verified Rivera is in the jurisdiction legally
They forgot a few details.
“Former leader of Iowa’s educational system (The Iowa Board of Regents) Craig Lang has verified that Cristhian is in this jurisdiction legally,” Richards wrote. “Cristhian has complied with his documented status since arriving in the USA as a minor.”
Lang is co-owner of the family dairy farm near Brooklyn, Iowa where Rivera worked until his arrest on Monday. The farm initially issued a statement saying that his legal status had been confirmed with the U.S. government’s E-Verify system.
