Then don't buy one. I have had several and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED them. Freaking LOVED them. So much fun.
As for the accident, would things have been different if the vehicle had been a full sized car, van, truck? Unfortunately bad things happen. Very sad.
Earlier this year we bought a Yukon Denali and it’s a big comfy boat but it handles great, it does great offroad, it can pull a horse trailer, and after a few modifications it gets great mileage!
It would be awful in the city, but out here it’s great!

You need a psychiatrist! Hating a motor vehicle is just loony! You’re probably the clown in the Prius driving 45 in the fast lane on the freeway! I don’t hate clown cars, but I do hate their drivers!
What i hate is “Careless” driving due to intoxication, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, texting, tuning the radio, eating while driving, drinking (anything) while driving, reading while driving (books, magazines, sales flyers, maps) talking on a phone that is not hands free, putting on makeup, disciplining children, trying to fasten a seatbelt, reaching for a dropped object, or any other of a myriad ways to be distracted while driving.
The size and speed of a vehicle does effect the energy at impact, however, a driver paying full attention to the road prevents an incalculable number of accidents and deaths. Be RESPONSIBLE drivers at all times!
Don’t hate inanimate objects, they don’t think or act independently and are not at fault. Pray for those injured and left behind, hope that those killed belong to our Lord Jesus the Christ, ask for forgiveness for the one responsible, and for salvation for all involved. Amen.
