Left-wing Trump haters should be careful what they wish for in their hysterical drive to oust the president from office. The could end up with President Mike Pence. Talk about your dream turning into a nightmare.

Agreed. I think he’d be just as difficult if not more difficult for the Dems to beat. As long as he stays away from silly statements and trap issues I think he’d be fine.

Pence would be easy to beat. Believe me, he was Governor here in Indiana. He is not Trump. He can back down easy and be manipulated.
He backed off the religious freedom bill in Indiana.

It is BS.
The liberals feel that is they can get Trump out then they could get Pence out. That leave the Speak of the House, that they think they’ll control in November, to be president.
The dems might get the house majority and be able to impeach, but they will not be able to remove Trump
And at trumps popularity levels impeaching him may cause a backlash.
I don’t trust any republican at this point, even pence.
Until I see another, Trump is our one and only hope.
Pence is probably a good enough person but he is still a traditional politician. He doesn’t strike me as a fighter.
Trump is the only guy who can bulldoze the barricades and make the world safe for guys like Pence.
I don’t know if that’s the sentiment. I think by being “softer” than Trump, it might serve him well. It might endear some of the people that are having “Trump remorse”. In other words, cross over appeal? I’m just guessing. We didn’t see too much of Pence. I could see him saying “If I could work with Trump I can work with anyone”
The problem is, if Trump is impeached (I’d be shocked if that happens) it could tarnish Pence too come re-election time.

Pence is a nice guy, a swell guy. Would love to have him as a neighbor. But a fighter???? That he is not.

Pence is best where he is at.

I have met quite a few who have the opposite. Those who regret not voting for for him.

That’s my impression of Pence as well. Nice enough guy but not nearly tough enough for meaningful reform.
Ford was a real war hero and well liked within the Senate and Congress.
