Why In The Name Of God Is The Media Protecting Pope Francis?
Newsweek ^ | 8/31/18 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 09/01/2018 1:36:54 PM PDT by Mrs. Don-o

In 2003, The Boston Globe won a Pulitzer Prize for reporting on a massive sex abuse cover-up inside the Catholic Church...

In 2018, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, former Vatican ambassador to the US, released an 11-page memo alleging that Pope Francis and other top members of the Vatican had reinstated Cardinal Theodore McCarrick to a public position despite credible allegations of sexual abuse of seminarians and minors. The memo rocked the Catholic Church; Pope Francis refused to comment...

So, did the press leap to investigate Vigano’s claims? ...Of course not.

Instead, mainstream media outlets went out of their way to portray Vigano as a disgruntled conservative angry at Pope Francis’ progressivism. The New York Times headlined, “Francis Takes High Road As Conservatives Pounce, Taking Criticisms Public.”

... The problem of child molestation and sexual abuse of clergy took a back seat to Francis’ leftist politics: “Since the start of his papacy, Francis has infuriated Catholic traditionalists as he tries to nurture a more welcoming church and shift it away from culture war issues, whether abortion or homosexuality. ‘Who am I to judge?’ the pope famously said, when asked about gay priests. Just how angry his political and doctrinal enemies are became clear this weekend…”

On Thursday, Reuters doubled down with this headline: “Conservative media move to front line of battle to undermine Pope Francis.” The Telegraph (U.K.) reported, “Vatican analysts say the attack appears to be part of a concerted effort by conservatives to oust Pope Francis, who they dislike for his relatively liberal views…”

... Why aren’t the press asking the pope tough questions, instead of focusing on the supposed motivations of the whistleblowers?

...It’s not out of goodwill for the Church generally. It’s out of a belief that traditionalist doctrine must be rooted out at any cost.

“Why In The Name Of God Is The Media Protecting Pope Francis?”

The “Name Of God” has nothing do to with it. Could it be ... SATAN? (And they would cover up for “any other pope”.)

He’s the perfect political leftist and statist - loves government control of citizens, turns a blind eye to homosexuality and sexual deviancy, and has the oft-seen habit of scolding Catholics on mundane, nonsense issues like global warming, food waste, and just recently, plastic in the oceans.

Francis is giving it his utmost to merge the two very different religions of Christianity and progressivism.

For the same reason Shapiro and and everyone else is trying to destroy Trump—protecting the pope to protect their own.

Because he is a leftist and is thought to be hot to trot on the sexual issues.

FYI:

The correct pronunciation of Vigano is Vi-GA-no.

Not VEE-ga-no, like the way everyone seems to be pronouncing it.

I am not into Insider Catholic Baseball and I have no special sources, anonymous or otherwise. But it looks to me like Benedict is being managed, controlled, even imprisoned, by his long-time aide Fr. Georg Ganswein, who is always at B16's side and is working for Pope Francis.

When whistleblower Vigano said his people got confirmation from B16 that he had imposed restrictions and penalties on (former) Cardinal McCarrick years ago, Ganswein jumped in and said "No! There was no confirmation! Nobody talked to Benedict about this!"

I have a tinfoil-triple-tiara hypothesis about Benedict, but --- well codeword "Ambien."

There is an accent over the “o” which leads me to believe that it is pronounced “veeg-a-NO.”

The homosexual Cabal in tr church pushed out Benedict and put Francis in power just to protect itself. Of course the media is going to protect him.

The fundamental truth of homosexuality must be covered up at the altar of PC

Frankie was VERY upset when Hillary lost the election. Very upset meaning red-faced angry.

He even donated to her campaign which is illegal.

He wanted to work with her instead of Trump cuz he is a leftist.

That should tell us everything we need to know about him.

This Pope is furthering the destruction of the Family as instructed by God. He’s furthering the emasculation of male authority as being the Head of the Stewardship. He’s furthering the perverse sexual behavior designed to destroy the human relationship between each other and towards the Lord God. And that is the dream the MSM has had for decades.

He’s a Peronist. His attitude toward the Bible AND the Communist Manifesto is: “Yes. No. I don’t know. You figure it out.”

I have heard it both ways but you are probably right. It just grates on me when I hear his name pronounced emphasizing the first syllable.

But you know, with all that is in front of us I probably should just not complain at all.

Lord have mercy on me!

What are your thoughts?

I have my own, which is that given “Francis” refused to answer the simple, plain question put to him, his refusal was his answer.

I think he’s unfit to serve as Pope but is too stubborn, corrupt and dishonest to step down... at this moment in time.

I also think and truly believe Pope (Emeritus) Benedict XVI remains living for several reasons, many of which God only knows and is directing.

God be steadfast with Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano.

My thoughts...

Francis’ inclination is to normalize homosexuality and homosexual behavior.

The liberal media have the same goal as well..

The conclusion follows from the observation
