There is an accent over the “o” which leads me to believe that it is pronounced “veeg-a-NO.”

I have heard it both ways but you are probably right. It just grates on me when I hear his name pronounced emphasizing the first syllable.

But you know, with all that is in front of us I probably should just not complain at all.
