When it comes to McCain, I begin with treatment of his first wife and go from there. I thank him for his services to the country—and POW seems to be the highlight of it, but whatever—while in the Navy. But nothing about his Senate career draws any admiration from me. As near as I can tell, he ran as a staunchly conservative R and legislated as a thoroughly malleable D.
