US President Donald Trump has warned the Syrian government and its Russian and Iranian allies against "recklessly" attacking rebel-held Idlib province.

In a tweet he warned of "a grave humanitarian mistake" in which hundreds of thousands of people could be killed.

Syrian government forces are said to be preparing a huge offensive on the last major rebel stronghold in the country.

The UN says such a campaign could have disastrous consequences for thousands of civilians.

The US State Department also warned on Monday that Washington would respond to any chemical attacks by the Syrian government or its allies.....

US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley tweeted: "All eyes on the actions of Assad, Russia, and Iran in Idlib. #NoChemicalWeapons"......

Don’t forget that McCain won the Iraq War. It was Obama who threw it away.

These are terrorists. Why should we care what happens to them?

He’s not backing them. He’s concerned about the civilians. We have no skin in this game.

They are bad guys and should be taken out.

Civilian casualties are bad to be sure but in Raqqa our side and the various militias like the Kurds turned that town into a heap of rubble.

All in the name of taking out the IS terrorists.

So if the Syrians and the Russkies want to do it, why should we give a rats backside.

Israel should defend itself and it looks like they’re going to but the USA can stand off.

Syria is like the land of Armageddon. “This is the end” like Jim Morrison said.

I don’t get the impression that Trump is defending the rebels there. I think we’re simply watching how the Russians, Syrians and Iranian go about it.

Trump loves the chance to stomp on the Iranians.

If a chemical attack occurs I believe we’re treaty-bound to respond.

Chemical weapons ban treaty?

If so, maybe Trump is trying to avoid further involvement by sending out this warning?

“If a chemical attack occurs I believe we’re treaty-bound to respond.”

The motivation for a false flag chemical attack. But the Ruskies are on to that trick now. They already have evidence of it being staged.

You may have noticed that the Syrian army, supported by Russia and Iran , surrounded the neck cutters in various cordons and effected their surrender. Then they bused the neck cutters and their families to Idlib Province for later engagement. Now that the rest of the country is pacified, to the chagrin of the late senator from AZ and his girlfriend Lindsay, Idlib is a clean up zone with a high concentration of really mean critters who need killing. Unfortunately there are many non combatants there.

I did knowing full well he would prevent the Middle East from becoming a vacuum where the void is filled by Russia and her proxies, aiming to destroy both Israel and the US. I spent 22-years abroad for our Country and came back to a place that no longer resembles the America I once knew, and in part because even “conservatives” are confused. But you sit there and just wait for them to come for you.

BINGO, you win the prize of the thread. There are actually between 90K and 100K insurgents if you count Ankara’s proxies. America and NATO are at this very moment ramping up for a decisive Air to Ground war like the 96-hours against Saddam. I can only say Darn to Trump for giving CNN a ratings boost, as they join the enemy and report against the war. And yes this Air Campaign will be the most devastating war since Desert Storm, will about the same effect on Syrian and Iranian armies, and will also any Russian’s batteries who fire or planes that fire upon this NATO onslaught.

Syria has every _right_ to retake all of its occupied territory. Trump is being led/handled by dark state.

POTUS issued an admonition, NOT a threat.

Read what he wrote and understand what he said, not what you wish he said.

And start WW-III. You think the Russians are just sit there and take it? How many American soldiers lives is Syria worth. And what happens if you win.
