I was really amazed that Hillary didn’t pick !Jeb! as her running mate, she would have gotten more votes.
From my perspective, the bloom was off the GWB rose when he capitalized on widespread fear to consolidate a bunch of once-disparate government departments under the newly-minted DHS, and established “Mineta’s Morons” (think ‘F Troop’ without the intelligence) as the TSA, Revered Guardians of Economy Class, and Most Holy Keepers of The Frequent-flyers’ Lounge.

Laughing parent Robbie Parker, snickering medical examiner, and many many other anomalies are enough to ask for an independent investigation of Newtown. One anomaly would be nothing, but dozens of them? Again, gun control was the goal.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said on Saturday that he "fully admit[s]" Twitter employees share a largely left-leaning bias after facing accusations that conservatives are discriminated against on the social media platform. In an interview that aired Saturday on CNN, Dorsey said his company has a responsibility to be open about its political viewpoints, but to operate without bias when applying content policies to users. "We need to constantly show that we are not adding our own bias, which I fully admit is...is more left-leaning," Dorsey says. "But the real question behind the question is, are we doing something according to political ideology or viewpoints? And we are not. Period," he added.
Dorsey went on to insist that his company only polices behavior on the platform, not content. Dorsey's remarks follow criticism from the right over supposed "shadow-banning" of conservatives users. The platform and Dorsey have also faced questions over the decision not to remove far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones from the platform, despite other social media platforms choosing to do so.
The Twitter CEO said in an interview with The Hill this week that Jones was banned after he received complaints that Jones's content was inciting violence. “We were getting a number of reports around the tweet and the Periscope that the content was inciting violence, which is against our terms of service, and we took action,” Dorsey said. The InfoWars host received a week-long ban from the platform, but has been removed from other services including YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music.
Dorsey is expected to testify in Sept before the Senate Intelligence Committee on the issue of Russian election interference, and faces a possible subpoena from the House Energy and Commerce Committee over allegations of discrimination against conservatives on the platform.
Alex is one of the more important things happening in USA. Plenty hereon wouldn’t understand how that could be true.
He’s a “conservative conspiracy nut” today, but during the Bush years, Jones was the darling of the fringe Left for the reason you give. They counted him as an ally. If another Bush-type establishment RINO of the sort Trump trounced in 2016 were in office instead (say JEB!, for example) , Jones would be going after him. Then Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and all the rest would have his back and wouldn’t dream of banning him.

He does have a lot of insight into what’s going on. Unfortunately he seems to be emotionally out of control. If he’s doing that as an act for his audience that’s even worse. I wish we could have his information but with a personality filter.
