Trump’s dipping approval is putting Republicans in dangerous territory (LOL LOL LOL)
The Washington Compost ^ | September 6 at 3:35 PM | Paul Waldman

“We’re doing a great job,” said President Trump yesterday in a surprise endorsement of his own success. “The poll numbers are through the roof. Our poll numbers are great. And guess what? Nobody is going to come close to beating me in 2020 because of what we’ve done.”

Though Trump can always be counted on to testify to his unblemished record of winning, it was odd he chose to focus on poll numbers right at the moment, because one place they are not going is “through the roof.”

In fact, Trump’s numbers are dropping to near the lowest point of his presidency. In the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, Trump’s approval rating is at 36 percent, and a majority of respondents strongly disapprove of his performance. An IBD/TIPP poll also puts the president at 36 percent, while the Economist shows him at 38 percent. Some others have him above 40 percent (Gallup’s latest is 41 percent), but not by much.

This isn’t a dramatic swing, but it is an identifiable downturn, especially since Trump’s approval ratings have been so stable over the course of his presidency. And if there was ever a moment when a small change could make a big difference, this is it.

Precisely locating the cause of incremental movements in presidential approval polls is next to impossible, particularly when we’re talking about Trump. There are so many cataclysmic things happening in any given week, there is no way to say with certainty what caused the change. But there are some likely suspects from the last few weeks — including the multiple former Trump aides who were either convicted or pleaded guilty to crimes, as well as the death of John McCain — which led to extensive media ruminations on Trump’s character flaws.

These people are runnIng scared, and they’re doing everything they can to destroy the Trump presidency. What are they hiding? The Dems hysterical behavior stems from more than just losing their political power. They’re scared of their treasonous actions being exposed, and I think they know the president is well aware of them. They’re trying to do Watergate II on Trump. The problem for them is he’s not the one covering something up. It’s their side with secrets to hide, and unlike Nixon, President Trump has the support of nearly half the country. They’ve overplayed their hand and they’re about to get hammered!

I am of the feeling that the giant bunch of nothing storm that the media created this week might have that bit to do with McCain’s passing and with that, some people on either side of the Atlantic are probably that more comfortable and that more likely to sing like a bird. And that not only would blow the Mueller nonsense completely out of the water but seriously threaten a lot of what McCain and others created over the years involving Russia, the Ukraine, and all sorts of other related things.

Judging by the polls he cited one could easily say "...it was odd he chose to focus on poll numbers right at the moment, because one place they are not going is “through the roof.”

POTUS obviously isn't using the same polls.

They’ve been saying his approval rating is “dipping/falling” every day for 1.5 years, and yet somehow it’s not in the single digits.

They already did full blown riots during the 2016 campaign, at Trump’s Chicago rally.

Ted Cruz basically blaming both Trump and the voters who attended for that is basically why there is any worry at all that Beto could pull an upset here in Texas.

I only pay attention to Rasmussen.

Trump topped at 51% on May 4. He dipped to 44% yesterday and bounced to 46% today.

He’s down some, hopefully he can move back up.

I’m waiting to hear President Hillary Clinton’s comments on the validity of these polls.

These are the same polls that showed Hillary with a 92% chance of winning on the morning of November 8.

Wishful thinking.

Ignore all this and just make sure to get out the vote to keep R majority in Congress to help President Trump MAGA.

Also, Hillary has a 99.89% chance of winning the 2018 elections, with 110% of the vote!

Trump’s numbers bounce up and down based on his daily actions and positions on the issues, and that’s pretty normal. Nobody loves EVERYTHING a President does.

The poll numbers have nothing to do with his popularity vis a vis the Democrats, because the Democrats offer the public absolutely NOTHING with regard to plans, positions, even opinions on the issues of the day. Their ENTIRE platform is “We Hate Trump. He beat Hillary. We have a sad.”

I have been studied Germany in the 20’s and the 30’s and the main reason the Nazis were thrust into power was that the Marxist were attempting to grab power and the Nazis hated their guts like a strong majority of Germans; you are right, the same tactics used by the Marxists in Germany in that period of time are identical to those used by Democrat Party today. They are the new Marxist Party in America today. U vote democrat, u vote for Marxism!

It is interesting u saw that. I was wondering if there was someone out there smart enough to realize that what is going on today in America is the same Marxist approach used to take over Germany.

Come to think of it, the thing we are calling the “deep state” may just be Marxism in disguise, and all those part of it are Marxists whether they know it or not.

Great observation!

Bunzturder tweeted a bunch of polls.’

From “Change Research”

Ohio Gov, DeWine (R) up only 2.

Ohio Senate, Brown (D) up only 4.

I started thinking when was the last time Ohio split it’s ticket, Governor/Senator? You gotta go back to 1974 when even in that Watergate election Former GOP Gov Jim Rhodes beat far-left incumbent rat John “Brezhnev’s Little Buddy” Gilligan (father of Kathleen Sebelius) while John Glenn (D) won a landslide in the Senate race.

From “Probolsky Research”

CA Governor Newsome (D) up only 5 over Cox (R). 44-39 Obviously I’m skeptical.

From “Cignal”

VA Senate

Tim Kaine (D) up only 4 (50-46) over horrendous candidate Corey Stewart (R), can’t believe that, should be more like 60 to 36.

From “GSG”

New Mexico Governor, Rat up 10 points.

The Gallup numbers at one time were at a low of 33% at one time, so the Gallup has remained steady.

Look, there has been negative headline after negative headline, and at a certain point, it probably takes a toll. The people I see who say they regret voting for Trump are the independents or the more establishment conservatives. The media has made a dent in them, but some of them don’t like his Tweets and so forth.
