Psst, whole paycheck employees? You do realize that your employer can replace the entire workforce within 4 hours simply by making a gig employment app, right?

Nahh, nevermind, please continue, it’s great when liberals attack liberals. Do you have any more of that organic free range GMO free vegan popcorn?

there’s nothing magic about whole foods, either before or after the purchase ... it’s just a chain grocery retailer like many others ... and their employees were essentially fools be to talked into anything otherwise ... perhaps the chain was over-staffed under the previous owners relative to other grocery chains ... if so, then layoffs are in order ... if not and layoffs proceed anyway, then under-staffing would result and the business would lose sales to competitors, profits would drop, and employees would have to be rehired to re-stabilize the business ... it’s all basically just Business 101 for retail grocery stores ...

Haha, my wife is going to love this news. She hates that store and its snooty employees with a passion.

Tucker has been running a series of stories on Amazon, Google and Walmart as Simon Legree/Ebenezer Scrooge & Mr. Potter. He reports that Walmart actually holds meetings for its employees to teach them how to apply for EBT!

Who cares about Whole Paycheck Foods other than hipsters with more money than common sense?

Never spent a dime in that place, and I never will. Farmers’ Markets and roadside fruit stands usually have far better food, and much more reasonable prices... Or you can grow some of your own.

Baffles me why anyone would work for that turd. Hello, the economy is booming, unemployment is at record low levels. Change jobs while you can, while the opportunity exists. If the treasonists win the midterms or God forbid the 2020 election you can kiss those opportunities goodbye.

Amazon: the TRILLION DOLLAR company that pays their employees peanuts and serf’s wages.

What if Amazon wants to see strikes.

Then, they can close the Whole Paycheck stores and convert them to warehouses to compete with Costco.

We will be able to order on line, get free delivery for orders over $50 and never have to go shopping at Costco or where ever for your food.

You will then be able to buy in bulk or a week of food for two, that is ready to microwave or pop in the oven. Or buy and serve a complete multi course meal for several guests ready to microwave or pop into your oven.

You’re why prices are so high. Unions won’t protect you from losing your job during down sizing.

The last time I was in a Whole Foods joint was about 20 years ago with the woman I was going out with.I was already wary of the whole “organic” thing but when I saw ordinary,run-of-the-mill chicken breast for $10 a pound I knew I wouldn’t be back.Of course at that time chicken breast could be found at Stop & Shop for about $3 a pound.

I saw a piece in the MIT student paper/magazine some time ago by a student who had visited one in her home town during summer break.

It was a bit long winded but she made some excellent observations. Her final conclusion after that, her first visit to the chain, was that shopping at Whole Foods wasn't about health,it was an open display of conspicuous wealth.

I'm strongly inclined to agree.

While Bezos, or whoever, may have figured out some genius logistical ways to get us stuff, within a day or two, he’s nothing more than a corporate raider, Wall St type, hypocritical liberal. Pays his folks peanuts because he knows he can find workers. Worth stupid money and yet demands that they public pay him to so that he can grace some locale with a HQ, the promise of high paying jobs that will all go to liberal, hipster, techie’s that have no desire to assimilate anywhere other than the confines of their uber white, liberal hipster neighborhoods.

Yet, the Left fawns over him when he represents everything that they supposedly hate about corporate America.

Unionize and make Bezos pay fair wages.
Same with Amazon.

Jeff Bezos = Lex Luthor.

He owns the Daily Planet (Washington Post) as his propaganda tentacle, and wants to run the world via Lexcorp (Amazon) and its vast assortment of other subsidiary, vertical down-line, tentacles - replete with governmental subsidizing.

I know this industry intimately. I have been told by reresentatives and brokers how Amazon is damaging third parties and destroying employee morale a Whole Foods.

I know the details, and it is not pretty.

(But, hey, free market, and all that. /sarcoff)

To all Cookie-Cutter Conservatives:

Get rid of the entire welfare state that effectively and vastly favors big business over small business, remove the many tax loopholes for multi-national corporations, require elected representatives to write their own legislation (and punish those who accept any de facto bribery from said multi-national corporations), then get back to me.

Jeff Bezos is a crony communist - like Mark Zuckerberg.

I checked ours out and left not buying anything...I can’t believe people will pay those prices, much higher than Kroger almost next door. Amazing.
