I fry my bacon first.
Remove bacon to paper towels.
Leave bacon grease in pan.
Fry eggs in pan w/ bacon grease.

No need for butter.
Bacon grease isn’t wasted.

That’s how my father taught me...that and always us a well seasoned cast iron frying pan......

I have a set of SS pans.pot with the aluminum discs for better heat distribution but more and more I use the cast Iron set despite it’s unwieldy weight. It cooks better than anything else out there! My inherited father’s cast Iron pan is over 100 years old and still cooking great. Additionally it is easy to clean and care for....just wipe it out and re-oil!

My mother did it that way. I modernized it. I cook the bacon on a broiler pan in the oven. Then I remove the rack and while bacon is draining, I crack the eggs into the bacon grease in the pan and bake in oven til the eggs are over easy. You might need to baste the eggs with the grease once.
