The Secret Service wants to hear from the veteran TV star who thinks it would be a good idea for someone to "John Wilkes Booth" President Trump.
Sources connected with the Agency tell TMZ, Carole Cook's comments to our photog when she left Craig's restaurant Sunday night were enough to trigger an official inquiry.
Our photog asked Cook -- a famous Broadway actress who also appeared on "Dynasty," "Cagney & Lacey" and "Sixteen Candles" -- what she thought about Trump, and she replied, "Where's John Wilkes Booth when you need him?" When our guy asked if she meant Trump should be assassinated she responded, "Why not?"
Our sources say the Secret Service saw our post and are concerned enough that they want a chit chat with the 94-year-old actress. They were quick to add it's not an official investigation -- just due diligence. If the interview unearths anything ominous, only then would it become an official investigation.
Officially the Agency says, "The Secret Service is aware of the comment. While we do not confirm or comment on the absence or existence of specific investigations, we can say we investigate all threats against the President."

I use to post at the Fairfield, California newspaper "Daily Republic" on an occasional basis. They have one local 'columnist' who is particularly odious, even by leftard standards. He once asked the above question. This question was asked after he had made other suggestions that Trump be removed from office 'by any means necessary'. I wrote to the editor to complain, but never got a response and stopped posting.
I peek in on occasions to see if this guy is still as bad as I recall. He is.

Hell Johnny Depp made the Booth analogy when he asked when the last time an actor assassinated a president. And that’s just a couple incidents. Sorry Trump needs to hire bikers, navy seals and MMA fighters and have “tryouts” with the Secret Service. Who ever walks away is security. They are a deep state organization like the rest. Can’t figure out why NancyMax haven’t been sat down hard, by the FBI. It’s obscene what they are saying out loud, against this president, for his uphill fight against corruption and restoring the country to its tradition of honor and ideals.
I remember growing up with the trembles hearing tales of how you could be arrested by men in suits, and much higher up than your friendly corner policeman, for daring threatening harm against a president, or an elected representative, inciting a riot against the government.
We can generally speaking put that notion down as legend.
