If the press can conspire with the enemy and print whatever they wish to the detriment of national security, then censorship boards established during wartime events would have been declared unconstitutional. Now, one can make the argument that we are technically "not at war", but then that would force the person advancing the point to treat a coup as something other than a highly leveraged revolution. People say that America is never going to be what it once was. They see the socialist winning in the end because all the younger generation is being brainwashed and will in the end, wind up screwing America into the ground with socialism or communism.
Most of my friends are 60 years old and up. They knew America when America was not cut down the middle by hate and dispute. Most say the 1960s destroyed what America was and that ever since, it has been down hill. When people see no hope for the future, they don't go vote. When people see free stuff and a free ride, IE, free health care, free college, free money, who do you think they will vote for? This is the stuff I am hearing. They see Sodom on the Potomac is all for their selves and screw the citizens. They have seen this for decades now. These are folks who have worked all their lives, many since they were teens, served in the military, got out, married, had families, a job, and now in their very golden years, see no hope for this nation. I hear this at church every Sunday. Most don't even want to talk about it anymore because they really, in the end, see no change. Once Trump is gone, the dims win, and it all goes back to the way it was. Trump is just a positive couple of years in a decades long crap fest out of Sodom.
They love Trump, but see him by his self and against the world. They full expect that if the Dims get the House this November, the next two years will be full of the Dims trying to impeach Trump and nothing gets done in Sodom. Then if Trump loses in 2020, they see that everything he did, will be undone. They see the embassy in Jerusalem moved back to where it was before, etc. Everything Trump did good, will go back to where Obama had screwed it all up.
These are people in my age group that worked all their lives and have seen the nation they built, being dismantled piece by piece, and the end in sight. I know it is sad to hear and think about. But, a lot of people truly see America on its very last, best days. There are very, very, very few Donald Trumps in positions to battle these commies. Most of the RINO party have joined the commies. They are wolves in sheep's clothing. They are one and the same.

Agree with everything you shared. It’s exactly how my DH and I see it, feel about it. There is no turning back to what America once was. The division is so deep now, and yes, the younger generations deeply indoctrinated with less love for America and more love for socialism. Just look at how well Bernie Sanders did in 2016. He was drawing crowds every bit as big as Donald Trump did. It was a eye-opener for me. He literally did have the nomination stolen from him by the Clinton wing of the party. I don’t mean to be a downer but we have to be realistic and honest with ourselves about what is happening.

What you will discover is that even a horror show like WWI is pretty small potatoes compared to large scale civil revolts. In these cases, and many, many others, it's not uncommon to have in excess of 10% of the population suffer casualties.
Now, what you are apparently suggesting is that Trump is unaware of these historical events, or is sufficiently shallow as to dismiss their importance or relevance to our current situation. That is, if the top level conspirators were to escape justice, then the leftist ideals they express ie confiscating wealth, regulating behavior & ambition, and dictating control, would remain viable.
That in turn sets up an environment for future conflicts, where patriots are literally fighting for their lives as the country falls into civil war. A situation like that of course then leads to an opportunity for China and/or Russia to then make a move while the country is embroiled and weakened.
Think about it - I'm sure Trump does. What's the solution - both the most effective and easiest to accomplish (at this particular point in time)? That's right, drain the swamp, clear out the deep state, and prosecute the evil doers who engineering and executed this treason.
What's the downside? Civil unrest? To what extent - could it even come close to what will surely occur at some future date if the problems are yanked out by their roots today?
Once you reach that conclusion, then it necessarily follows that Trump figured it out some time ago. After all, it's why he ran; he didn't do it for shits & giggles. He is going to be regarded as a titan of history. He was on this long before most, and actually made it happen, while you and many others merely worry/complain over a nice cup a coffee while typing on a screen.
Regarding that “chubby guy:” I have an uncontrollable flick reflex when I see him on the TC show.
