Once again Trump brings more attention to a situation that he did not need to. He needs to focus on economy, and everything else he has done well.
No one wants to get sidetracked on fatalities because it sounds heartless to argue death stats. Two Floridians understand how to address issues that really don't matter at this point. Let Trump pick a fight with EVERYONE over EVERYTHING. He is drowning out all the good things he can be talking and tweeting about. He is preventing his own message from getting out. The press loves it, too.

These patsies need to get a grip. Trump isn’t necessarily disputing the numbers. He is disputing the notion—implicit in the reporting by the Fake News—that the deaths are due to the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

You really think voters are so shallow that a dispute over death counts will make them vote for someone else, or not vote, over a dispute that has nothing to do with anything. If that is true, those voters are worthless themselves.

He needs to pick his fights...He can’t argue everyone over everything. Focus on what is important and communicate his message which he needs to get out, such as economy, judges...his speech was great the other night....do you want jobs or foot stamps - that was a great line...he needs much more of that. Anything else hurts him.
Now DeSantis seems to be joining in with the Puerto Rico comments. Quit pandering Ron and you'll be fine.

Media people love gotcha questions. Anyone who does interviews should have at least a rudimentary understanding of this.
Judging by past Trump tweets, I’d say that after the media picks this bit of bait up and goes nuts with it, swallowing it whole, the hook will dig in and further investigation will at least partially vindicate Trump. Doesn’t matter how many times it happens, the media still swallows the bait.
We should give Puerto Rico independence so they can all be deported as undesirable aliens.

Didn’t take long at all.
When Bush was president, the nightly MSM TV news would show death tolls of US soldiers.
When Obama became president that information was no longer newsworthy. And when he changed the rules of engagement the death tolls went up, but it never was covered by the MSM.
To clarify, the numbers that went up were in Afghanistan, as the number of troops in Iraq was greatly reduced with that war essentially being over. In fairness, the number of troops in Afghanistan went up, also.
Bush was a warmonger, but Obama got a Nobel peace prize.
I don’t know if it was 3, 300, 3,000 or 3,000,000. Undoubtedly a lot of the deaths happened before the winds had even died down.
What was POTUS supposed to do, stand on the beach 30 minutes before landfall and order Maria to cease and desist???
How many of you can report success with riled up girls named Maria using those tactics?
Where are the coroners’ death certificates. Paper trail ?
are they saying worse than 9/11?
