The methodology of the study is actually very good, it’s exactly what you would want to do to get a reasonable estimate of how many deaths could be attributed to a major event like a hurricane which has long lasting effects.

He's disrupting the inevitable NARRATIVE they're already trying to form about Hurricane Florence. They've got the fake 3000 number out there and if it's not disputed they're going to do the EXACT same thing about Florence. In two years it will be "Trump allowed 10,000 to die from Hurricane Florence".
Go ahead and think it is great for Trump to make a big deal about everything that is hurled against him. He is stepping on himself and harming his message. There were several people at work today who were unaware of the whole PR thing until Trump tweeted about it and now they think he must have done something wrong.
His tweets need to be marketing the election and that is all. I believe it is 54 days away. The House is going to be extremely close.

It's deeper than that -- he gives them something to criticize (and their criticisms were mild and carefully qualified), setting them apart, ahead of their election denouement, in a state with a large Latino ancestry population, while the POTUS gets credit from the rest of us.

IF they cannot come up with a verified & vetted LIST of those 3000 dead persons, it is a hoax.
