DALLAS - Following the shooting death of Botham Jean by the hands of Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger, multiple search warrants were executed at Jean’s apartment as part of the investigation.

One of the warrants became a public record Thursday afternoon when it was returned to the judge who signed it. It was shortly after Jean’s funeral had ended. It listed several items found in Jean's apartment, including a small amount of marijuana.

There are reports that she had complained about noise from his apartment and some neighbors heard shouting/arguing before the shots were fired. She messed up. Big time. Yes she has a right to her day in court. But depending on the final charge she may decide to accept a plea bargain.

This victim was not a BLM person AFAIK. He was in his own home going about his business when she more or less forced her way into his apartment and started shouting orders at him. She was the aggressor and he was probably scared witless. The officers who were killed in the line of duty do not in anyway excuse her actions. I would not be surprised to find out she violated several department policies in her confrontation.

Worst of all it is such confrontations that feed into the BLM BS that all police are out gunning for innocent Black people. Which is a very dangerous attitude for the police to contend with.

I hope you have a pleasant evening.

I guess it is like a pot hoagie. I mean not everyone can eat pot brownies. Seriously it is most likely a spice or coffee grinder used for pot.

Shouldn’t they be searching the apartment of the killer instead of the victim?

The very definition of the phrase ‘clutching at straws.’

>>K-Cups.

She has K-cups? How does she even get her gun out the holster?

Shoot a totally innocent man to death in his own residence, and then search his home, then they run to the media and attempt to discredit the victim with what was found.

Disgusting!~

Happens every time the police shoot an unarmed person. They have to make him as threatening as possible.

Rumor I heard is that there was some “relationship” between the victim and the shooter. His door wasn’t open and that the shooter was heard banging on his door demanding that he open it.

Alls fair in love and war.

And what did they find in Guygers apt?

Nothing. They gave her two days to scrub her social media accounts, get her affairs in order, and clean up her apartment before she was arrested.

And why the hell would anyone publish that utterly meaningless factoid?

Easy enough to grab a bit of weed from the evidence locker and “find” it somewhere else.

Yes, I think they’re lying.

I know, and hope I did not project, that he had anything to do with the BLM movement. The BLM is back up and yelling around Dallas. A police officer was shot in the head and in critical condition overnight in Ft. Worth. Hope he makes it. Details sketchy.

“There was no reason to search his apartment or a search warrant granted. The police women committed the crimes, trespassing and manslaughter, not Botham Jean. This stinks. And I am pro law enforcement.”

I would search his apartment for evidence that she knew him, was perhaps a scorned lover, and killed him on purpose.

Her story reeks.

I hope that he pulls through. I will pray for him and his loved ones.

The BLM has made being a police officer more dangerous. I suspect their real goal is not about being sure there is a full accounting for and prevention of unjustified police homicides. Rather I think they (the higher ups in BLM) would love to see a complete breakdown of trust between police and Black communities. They want at the very least a state of tension; at the most outright war. Why? Because then their political candidates can be Johnny on the Spot with blame and answers. The more radical those answers the better. And they sure won’t be good answers.

Sounds like whoever came up with that has their own agenda. I'd guess it's 100% BS. Otherwise, could I see the reports and or news links to this rumor.

What judge approved such a broad ranged search warrant? I can understand a warrant to search for spent shell casings, bullett fragments and any item that the shooter may have dropped as she left the room. But the warrant should have excluded all rooms other than the foyer/immediate living roomwhere he was shot, unless the fired rounds penetrated walls.

Searching this man’s personal effects is beyond the pale.

What if the victims laptop was in a bedroom?

Cops also get decompression time before eing asked to give their statement. In this case, she got 3 days, probably because that’s in their union contract. Then they arrested her.

Why would the cops need his laptop? I don’t know the layout of his apartment, but the only reason to search the bathroom was she shot him while he was in there. Same for all the other rooms

What if the victims laptop revealed an intimate relationship with the victim? What if the laptop showed the shooter had borrowed $10,000 from the victim and had never paid it off?

They search the victims residences in crimes like homicides so they can determine if there was any personal connection or relationship with the killer etc.

“Searching this man’s personal effects is beyond the pale.”

They have to find a better reason to smear him than he had some marijuana.
