basically fake news....
President Trump strongly criticized Bob Woodward's new book, "Fear: Trump in the White House," as "a total fraud," "work of fiction" and "totally discredited." But Woodward said he drew from hundreds of hours of interviews for his book, which is published by Simon & Schuster, a division of CBS. The book depicts a chaotic White House with details from participants and witnesses to the Trump administration.
Asked whether he would release any of the interview tapes, Woodward told "CBS This Morning" on Thursday: "Well, if somebody really wants to challenge me, of course. Of course. But I again, I've made agreements with people that these sources are going to remain confidential."
Bob Woodward's "Fear" some top takeaways In the book, Woodward described a "nervous breakdown" in the administration. In an interview with "CBS This Morning" co-host Norah O'Donnell, FBI Director Christopher Wray told her he has "not seen a 'nervous breakdown' of executive power."
"I have also not read Mr. Woodward's book, and I'm not sure whether I'll ever find time," Wray added.
Woodward responded to Wray, saying, "His experience is limited with Trump." Wray was confirmed as FBI director in August 2017.
"I spent over a year on this. I have literally hundreds of hours of tapes with people who were there. If you've looked at the book, they're very specific incidents. And it is a kind of it opens the window," Woodward said.
Various Trump administration officials have come forward to deny certain accounts in the story, including White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Defense Secretary James Mattis. Woodward addressed the various push-back he's getting.
"Look, going back to the Nixon case, any of these books you're going to have what I call this 'survival denial' by somebody who wants to be politically connected with the president. And that's fine," Woodward said. "But as the great editor of the Washington Post, Ben Bradlee said, the truth emerges. And it does. And I've done this time and time again where you get denials. Oh, 'Nixon and Kissinger did not pray on the eve of Nixon's resignation.'"

Oh man, you nailed it!
I strongly challenge you Woodward.....release the tapes if you dare.
Hey Bob, how’s Bill Casey?
What a humanitarian!
Bunk.
He’d release the tapes in a heartbeat anyway if there was anything at all in them.
I think he should release the tapes. It would be a hoot to find out who who are all the Benedict Arnolds in the Trump administration.
So do it.
So the “sources” that have already denied his accusations and called his book “fiction” arent challenging him? The fact is there is nothing in the book thats going change public opinion on any matter he covers. Hes preaching to the choir so who will ever “strongly challenge” it? no one cares enough to devote very much resistance to the book...so Im sure the tapes will never come into play.
Sure he did,and a second later he also said BUT,I told those interviewed they would be kept confidential.
So sleaze bag Woodward put them out there pussy,we want to hear who the democrats are that were in the White House.
He is already in on it but he’s keeping it a secret. Don’t tell anyone I told you.
Does anyone intelligent take any of this silly stuff seriously?
At age 72 I agree.
I sometimes think of America like the George Kennedy character in the 1975 film Earthquake!. He surveyed the ruins of Los Angeles, with crumbled skyscrapers and steaming ruins and jets of burning natural gas like geysers.
He shook his head and said “This used to be a hell of a town.”
As the socialists,Millenials,LGBQTs and Dems continue to dismantle a once great nation, and no one can stand up and say “As Americans we all agree on this and we’re all together on it” about anything you can name,I feel that way today.
No. He also has bootleg 8 tracks of Melanie’s rehearsals for her Woodstock concert. Candles in the Rain is kind of garbled, though.
Lol!

Slither back under your rock Bob Woodward...
Woodward is pretty good at the art of having something that literally is true, but which he presents in a way that provides an entirely false view of what the facts say.
I read a great example recently regarding his book about John Belushi, including a wonderful anecdote about how Belushi was so good that he did one scene in Animal House in a single take, with no rehearsal, with nothing more than the director shouting at him what to do next.
But when Woodward wrote about it, he claimed it was an example of Belushi being so out of it that the director had to provide step-by-step instructions for everything.
