Interesting, given that the op to get bin Laden was undertaken to make Obama look good in an election year, and left the informant who helped bag bin Laden behind in Pakistan where he was thrown in prison.More interesting that he put in for retirement after ISIS took Mosul in June 2014 when he was head of United States Special Operations Command.

Yep. I'm sure his "resignation to spend more time with family" was actually him coming back to the office to find his personal effects boxed up, his boss saying, "I need your keycard, govt-issued laptop, and cell phone--NOW," and an envelope with his termination letter.
Q: What do you call 500 former general/flag officers being fired from their Washington jobs?
A: A good start.
To: DariusBane
I assume he is protecting his military retirement check by resigning.
I assume he is resigning from a do nothing military board and keeps on cashing the do nothing corporate BOD checks he is no doubt on.

What has embarrassed us and our children are the actions of the Democrats in the confirmation hearings.
To: odawg
Really does seem like McRavencain is preparing to run for office as a Democrat.

The rats in the confirmation hearings were so bad that Canada and Mexico are also embarrassed.

McRaven is probably planning on running against empty suit Cornyn in 2020. That’s why he is hysterically channeling Corey Booker these days.

Thats entirely possible. I am wondering how many more are out there like this? If we have a civil war, I dont think we can completely rely on the military, to be on our side.

Ouch.
Wasn’t it under Bill Clinton back in the early 90s, around the time of the Tailhook scandal that cleared out a lot of Navy aviators - that a high-ranking black SEAL commander was forced out? I wonder who benefitted by his removal?

Journalism? How did that prepare him to be an Admiral?
The loon must have swallowed too much sea water. His brain is soft.
My memory of fellow USAF Officers was that we were a conservative minded group and no one spoke badly of the leadership at the time, Kennedy and LBJ. We may not have voted for them but they were the CINCs.

I still haven’t seen anything that shows he wrote that op-ed.
Anyone have a link to one that does?
