I didn’t see the original coverage but did watch it on YouTube. My first thought was- she was trying to rattle her opponent. Most tennis fans are saying Osaka definitely outplayed her.

So be it. I’m not exactly a tennis fan, but I’ve read between the lines what the dad and sisters have been quoted as saying for many years. Perhaps I am melding Serena into Venus, and clearly that’s not fair to Venus, hopefully the better of the girls.

I hope the umpires do this. The USTA itself is racist and would defend Serena to the end, even if she clubbed a baby seal with her racket.
Somebody needs to be the adult and make a stand that this boorish behavior won’t be tolerated in what used to be a civil sport.
Maybe Serena should look into professional wrestling - although it would probably require more work than she puts in now.

The only tennis match I’ve ever watched was Bobby Riggs versus Billy Jean King - while shooting pool at a tavern.
I also have family members participating in higher levels of tennis for many years. They knew what was happening. It’s hard to teach younger players self control when the pros act like this.
Show her the "Red Card" as in soccer.
