HOUSE INTEL COMMITTEE TO RELEASE TRANSCRIPTS OF TRUMP-RUSSIA WITNESS INTERVIEWS
Daily Caller ^ | 9/16/2018 | chuck ross

Posted on 09/16/2018 10:09:48 AM PDT by bitt

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes said Sunday that he plans to release transcripts of interviews with around 70 witnesses in the Trump-Russia probe within the next few weeks.

“We believe that the depositions that we took, I think for nearly about 70 people those need to be published, and they need to be published I think before the election,” Nunes said in an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.” (RELATED: House Intel Committee Releases Long-Awaited Report On Trump-Russia Collusion)

“By published I mean put out for the American people to review, so that they can see the work that we did and they can see all of the people that were interviewed by us, and there are answers to those questions. I think full transparency is in order here so I expect to make those available from our committee to the American public here in the next few weeks,” continued Nunes.

You forgot that Sessions recused himself?

And you think RR is going to prosecute democrats?

POTUS’s options are few at the moment. After the Midterms sessions will be gone, POTUS will have an acting AG who will bring the house down on Clinton-Obama.

Nice of Nunes to do this ... all the 'bad' stuff (that makes Trump look bad) has already been leaked by democrats to their thugs at the Washington Post... so this gives us a chance to see the 'other' side.

Hay Mr. Nunes, how about releasing all the hidden information about Democrat Elder Statesman Clinton/Obama/Soros/Strzok/Page/Susan Rice/Mrs Bill Clinton/Lerner etc etc?

Lets see that stuff. A bit of collusion but mostly obstruction of justice and numerous other felonies.

Lets fill up Gitmo with the REAL anti-American anti-Constitution criminal scum.

There is a long list Mr. Nunes, and many here at FR could get it to you...

Let’s see?

Fox News, check.

Talk Radio, check.

Conservative websites?, check.

The New York Times, Spin, if anything.

CNN? not so much.

WAPO, see above.

The headlines will read, “In a desperate effort to tarnish the Russia Trump investigation, Nunes releases transcripts, to save the GOP from the Blue Wave”.

Why? Sessions said he wasn’t going to have politics influence his DOJ.

None of these are ever going to be released. Not by Nunes. Not by POTUS. All of this is Kabuki. If this stuff was that inflammatory to the Progs they would have been released months ago.

Politics has infested the DOJ and Sessions does nothing about it. He’s a pathetically weak AG who basically recused himself from his job. I hope he will be gone in a couple of weeks.

Agree. The investigation started in Jan. 2017. There is no conclusion. They can’t release transcripts of any ongoing investigation. Therefore, the investigation is over. No one is charged. No one is accountable. Congress has again “coveredup for their own!”

Trump doesn’t have Sessions support. Sessions will not do anything to rock the boat.

Aside from lots of tweets Trump has been largely passive about the corruption that has infested his own executive branch. He should have released the FISA docs long ago; this would have revealed some very interesting information that could provided new investigative leads.

I fear that the FISA docs, if and when they are eventually released, will still have lots of redactions. We may be somewhat disappointed after all this time.

“Trump and sessions will never prosecute a democrat. You may know why, I certainly don’t. But they sit and watch mueller prosecute republicans for bull pucker.”

The reason is that Trump is shunning the entire Democrat playbook because it is evil, coercive and averse to self-governance. Weaponizing government agencies to criminalize your political opposition is part of that playbook and Trump wants no parts of it.

Trump wants to win at the ballot box and thereby return the power to the people as he promised. If he fights fire with fire like everyone here seems to want him to, he would be guilty of exactly what he wants to put an end to.

Therefore, he is going to let them sling their arrows, speak directly to the American people about what’s happening, and let the people be the judge.

Meanwhile, the Democrats lie and cheat to get elected - they rely on their MSM propaganda ministry to deceive the people and a corrupt deep state bureaucracy and weaponized counter intelligence agencies to destroy and criminalize their opposition.

They know if the people know the truth and had a straight up vote, they would never win another election. The progressive movement they are pushing is essentially socialist redistribution of wealth and loss of individual rights. It is the exact opposite of the self- governance and limited state authority embodied in the constitution. It gives authority to a coercive bureaucracy. This ideology is deeply unpopular and therefore must be sold by deception, bribery, blackmail, character assassination - and yes witch hunts and thuggery.

I would personally like to see Trump line up all these Obama co-conspirators in front of a firing squad. They are guilty as hell - I’d even like to pull the trigger.

But I think I understand why Trump is not going down that road...I think he is trying to lead us back to true self governance where we don’t try to pulverize our political opponents - yes they fight dirty - but that doesn’t mean we should.

I guess it’s kind of like turning the other cheek. Then everyone will see who are the bad guys and who are the good guys.

If we fight fire with fire and put the Democrats in jail, it’s hard to tell who has the moral high ground. Besides, they would all wind up getting pardoned anyway.

It won’t mean a thing if the interviews were given under duress and they lied. Don’t trust evil Mueller.

Not going to ever happen. Sessions is an unprincipled POS who has allowed his agency to descend into the depths of disrepute and shame.

He wanted to be a general but left the battlefield. He refused to fight.

Let’s say Trump had appointed YOU as AG. On day 1 you would have arrested Hillary and a bunch of others. And by now, they all would have been “cleared” of any wrongdoing, and you AND Trump would have been impeached by both Dems AND Repubs.

You simply don’t understand the mess that Jeff Sessions inherited. Decades of Swamp-loving Presidents stuffing DOJ/FBI with every big-brother scumweasel your worst nightmares could envision has turned DOJ/FBI into the most corrupt agency in D.C..

Session has the worst job in Washington, maybe in history. The day he walked in the door, there wasn’t ONE person he could trust. He had to start from scratch building a entirely new organization, with almost all new faces. Think Elliot Ness in the Untouchables having to “pick an apple from the tree, instead of the rotten barrel.”

Not only that, but there isn’t ONE person who is happy with the job he is doing. Since day one, there has been a constant clamor from conservatives, (me included) to “Lock Her Up” and go after the numerous gov scums that have broken the law. (Lois Lerner, Eric Holder, etc., etc.) Everybody, including the President who hired him, is unhappy.

OK, let’s say Sessions walked in on day one, and ordered a new investigation or prosecution of Hillary. The first thing he would’ve needed to do is assign the job to someone in the dept that was certain to do everything to clear her name, and make the administration look bad to the point of impeachment. That means leaks to the media, and more importantly, suspects under investigation. It means shoddy interviews and gifts of immunity for telling the investigators their dog’s name.

Speaking of immunity, just think of the time Sessions will have to spend revoking the immunity gifts given by the dept before he arrived.

Unfortunately, he probably hasn’t even been able to start that yet. How long does it take to put together a team of people you know you can trust to do the job at hand? Just think of the number of new people he had to put through the vetting process, hire, and then re-evaluate after a few months on the job. I had to do it in a department of ten people, and it took me almost a year to run the weasels out without them having grounds for a lawsuit. I then had to invest time to properly train their replacements. Imagine how long that takes in an agency the size of DOJ/FBI!

Then there all the information systems and their administrators that need a complete revamp. It does no good to have a top-secret investigation with your reliable agents feeding all the data into a corrupt system maintained by traitors. Any decent database admin could write code that wiped out info on specific investigations by subject, agent, etc. Of course, they would have already leaked the info to the media, DNC, etc.

Sessions has been quietly rebuilding a completely corrupt organization from the ground up. At some point (hopefully soon) we will see some fruit from all of Sessions’ work.

And even more to the point: currently there is no one to prosecute them. They got Sessions to recuse himself the moment he took office. Who will give the order in the chain of command? Rosenstein? ALL the prosecuting attorneys are with the Deep State. Trump has no control of the DOJ whatsoever (and yes, his own party, itself deeply entwined with the Deep State, is preventing him from taking control of it...aren’t our elections so convenient? Nothing whatsoever can ever happen during an election year, how convenient for our permanent government class).

Who exactly is going to prosecute when ALL the attorneys, completely free from the control of any elected authority, are on the other side?
