I am writing with information relevant in evaluating the current nominee to the Supreme Court.

Brett Kavanaugh physically and sexually assaulted me during high school in the early 1980's. He conducted these acts with the assistance of REDACTED.
Both were one to two years older than me and students at a local private school.
The assault occurred in a suburban Maryland area home at a gathering that included me and four others.
Kavanaugh physically pushed me into a bedroom as I was headed for a bathroom up a short stair well from the living room. They locked the door and played loud music precluding any successful attempt to yell for help.

Lets say he is a serial attacker and by her not saying something she would put others in jeopardy for 30 + years.
Should she not be held responsible for letting such a person to possibly attack someone else? She didn’t care enough to say anything back them but now she does.

Kavanuagh was nominated to the DC circuit in 2003 yet Miss Ford said nothing. In fact she told no one until 2012. On July 30, 2018 she pins a letter to good old Feinstein. Feinstein keeps the letter until Sept 13, 2018 and then brings it out. The Holton-Arms school yearbook shows her as a senior in 1984. She states that Kavanuagh was two years older than her. I have a few questions.
1. What was the date if the so-called attack?
2. Where did the so-called attack take place?
3 What was your age if Kavanagh was one-two years older than you?
4. Who was at the party?
5. You stated that Kavanaugh was intoxicated that means there was alcohol at the party. Where you drinking? You had to be under age so who supplied the alcohol?
6. Who has the original letter so it can be tested to see if the July 30 2018 is a good date. Did you sign the letter so that can be checked?
7. It has been stated you took a lie detector and passed. who gave it? what were the questions? you would be available to set down for another on with different person and maybe questions?
8. It has been stated you had to go to therapy. Who was the doctor and the date of the therapy.
9. You never told are mentioned this to anyone until 2012 around 28 years later. Why is that?
10. Did you get this feeling to do right your idea are were you contacted by anyone asking you questions about Kavanaugh 30+ years ago? Why did this feeling to get this out not come about in 2003 when he was nominated to the DC circuit?
11. Kavanaugh has been through at least six full blown background checks. Where you ever contacted by the FBI are someone doing a background check on any of the six?
do the names Bork, Thomas, Doctor Adm Jackson ring a bell. If the Republican take the word of this person and kill the Kavanuagh nomination and trump does not fight for this man the Republicans will lose in 2018 and for years to come and trump will be one term. Grassley and the Republican better tell the democrats to stick it and confirm this man. Democrats do this because they know the republican are spinless and will cave in.

Assume this is true. Drunken testosterone ridden teenage boy athletes. Who knows what their intent was? The idea this was "attempted rape" cannot be concluded, because we have no way of knowing intent. Maybe Kavanaugh just wanted to expose Blasey Ford's breasts to Judge, who knows?
That said, such action still falls under today's definition of sexual assault. Today such behavior would get one tagged a sex offender for life. In 1983, it would have resulted in a firm dressing down by teachers and parents, and a forced apology.
I am not making excuses, but teenage boys do stupid things. The behavior claimed of Brett Kavanaugh and Mike Judge as 17 year olds is less than claimed of Ted Kennedy and Chris Dodd when they were in their 50s.
I remember Alan Simpson saying when asked if he would ever run for President: "Are you crazy? When I was a lieutenant in the Army I thought beer was food." No doubt the then LT Simpson engaged in some debauchery in the mid-1950s. Perhaps someone 25 years old like Simpson was could be held to an adult standard.
But I would not be surprised if such behavior is far more common than many of the puritans on both the left and the right would like to admit.
There are a lot of strange things in this story. Why was she wearing a swimsuit? Was it a pool party?
The last thing which is hard for me to get my head around is the idea this brief event caused such trauma as to threaten a marriage 30 years later. There is a fragility here that suggests there has to be more to the accuser's story.
However, this "New Puritanism" is the new normal. Like I said, incidents like this are probably more frequent than many would like to admit. There are Republican men right now who know bad behavior either was done by them, or happened with their knowledge while they were in high-school or college. They don't even need to be the perps if they knew about it but said nothing.
They know it will be dug up if they run for office or are appointed to positions. As a result, we will only get squeaky clean candidates. That also means fewer former team sports athletes, fewer fraternity members, etc. In other words, fewer male Republicans who have early life experiences which develop teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Of course it also means Republicans will appoint more women. This is the simplest avoidance technique. However, we see from Feinstein's abuse of Amy Barrett, which can only be described as religious bigotry, there is no limit for the Democrats. If a Republican made comments like Feinstein's to a Muslim nominee, they would be annihilated by the Democrats and the press. The double standard is palpable.
This is exactly right. If true, this is a one-off situation which suggests Kavanaugh is not a sexual predator, that instead it was a foolish, drunken, high school situation. Immaturity that Kavanaugh outgrew.
But I think the Neo-Puritans are going to win this. If you are Republican and male, and ever drank under age, if you ever had contact with a female where the age difference was questionable, if you ever hazed a fraternity pledge, if you were at a party where something bad happened, if you ever copped a feel, even at age 17, you are disqualified.

I was in the same class as “Chrissie” Blasey (1984). She went to Holton Arms–the sister school to my school, Landon School for Boys. She was well known for her sexual escapades, some of them quite disturbing.... Like the famous “bj” car where in the back of a darkened station wagon she .... on multiple young men. Or the time she took on most of the football team. Her nickname was Chrissie Blowsey–
I’ll leave it at that. She was also a very manipulative and vindictive person. So we all need to take her allegations with more than a grain of salt. she was a knock-down, drag-out slut all through High School. I know–I was there, graduated in the same Class of 1984. So how can we trust her?

Not discussed thus far, is it was a party, people (Everybody) was not just drinking, but almost blind drunk. Most men have a problem with performance while highly intoxicated, while most women, in my experience, relax when inebriated. Sexual intercourse never happened according to her, but rough housing did, the ATTEMPT to remove her clothes did not work, and by the way, did she leave? or stay at the party? It sounds fishy to me, is denied by Kavanaugh, people from his class know this woman, and she was promiscuous at the time, and a attention seeker then. Perhaps she has not changed that much. It will be interesting to see how this turns out. Oh, Feinstein released it? The woman is not even from her state...strange. /sarc

If we as a party simply dismiss her, we come off looking like we don’t care about women. Hey, it is what it is.
Saying, “Okay, if that really happened, you handled it very poorly. Nothing can be proven now, so it’s rather pointless to mention it.”, is a better tactic > IMO.
