This is modern left wing feminist logic. I’m not sure it makes sense even to them, but they have found a way to spin ANYTHING as sexist, misogynistic, hateful, racist, you name it. We should stop indulging this idiocy.

In this case the goal is not to give the accuser a chance to tell her story. The goal is to delay the confirmation vote and if possible push it back until after the mid-terms.
In other words, liberals should be immune to questioning their lies.

When representatives of the Left make illogical statements, they are not making them with thinking people as the audience. They are speaking to a select subgroup who are agenda driven and focused. A normal person needs a secret decoder ring to determine what was meant by the astonishing statement. I believe Saul Alinsky came up with the concept of the dog whistle. Originally, the way Saul drove the Democratic candidates to adopt his positions, was to run an extreme candidate against them in a primary. In a district where he controlled 500 votes and the total voting population was, say, a few thousand, he could cause the Democrat to lose. Thus, the Democrat would adopt his positions. Then Saul would send out the dog whistle, meaning his 500 votes were to swing to the Democrat.
Over the years, though, the voting population became diluted with many self-interest groups who were not on the “inside” with what the dog whistle was or how it was used. Candidates still said the things they thought would get the votes they wanted, but too many people didn’t understand the statements, even though they’d probably vote Democrat anyway. It became a situation that psychologists called “superstition behavior.” This comes from a pigeon conditioning experiment. A bell would ring if the pigeon did something in particular and the pigeon got a reward. Then, one long weekend, the automated experiment went haywire and the bell would ring and the pigeon might or might not get food, which was now dispensed randomly. The scientists came back to find the pigeons standing on one leg, or bent painfully over because that was what they were doing when they got the random reward. Politicians, no longer understanding what gets them the bizarro-vote, are saying and doing random, illogical things.

Low-information ordinary voters in NY “own” Sen. Gillibrant’s misguided “leadership” through the ill-conceived 17th Amendment.
The problem, evidenced by Sen. Gillibrant’s special-interest politicking, is that voters elect senators who evidently don’t know the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers any better than the voters do.
The 17th Amendment needs to be repealed.
The 16th Amendment can disappear too.
That questioning the trustworthiness of ANY liberal is not to be tolerated.

Exactly, this is a delay tactic cloaked in a fake narrative with an issue that is political dynamite these days. Nothing more. They are using it as a club. They are leading the GOP senators around by the nose.
