Play the game. Feinstein had a spy working for her for 20 years, and the Gop did nothing.

How about the Republicans start fighting fire with fire?

I suspect that it’s McConnell who’s calling the shots and grassley the spokesman. The turtle has traditional media fear so this is likely just theater to avoid pc perception of anti-female bias. The delays are infuriating but as long as confirmation occurs well before midterms who cares. unless they’re holding something back, she doesn’t appear to have a smoking pubic hair on a coke can, i think they have all 51 R votes.

Can’t argue with that, in the broader sense.

I’d like to see someone push through a bill that exposed and criminalized using taxpayer funds to pay off Congresssritters own accuser.

but that has about as much chance of happening as my ex-wife, Morgan Fairchild, coming back to me

Kavanaugh has to be seated before the end of this month in order to be seated for the next coming court. That is why the delay is bad. Before the midterms is not good enough.

She has 24 Business Hours to decide.

She will never testify. Grassley is trying to be as “considerate” as possible but we know that whatever happens, Republicans will be labeled demeaning and heartless.

others have posted similar, most likely (like Gorsuch) he would only miss out on voting for cases where he missed oral arguments> i think he can start during session at any time.

Good except for the fact that “Palo Alto University” is most certainly NOT an “elite university.” I think people hear “Palo Alto” and immediately think “Stanford.”

Palo Alto University was originally known as the “Pacific Graduate School of Psychology” from 1975 to 2009. It has 80 educational staff and 1,100 students. It’s located off the beaten track on Arastradero Road in Palo Alto.

Frankly, nobody has ever heard of this school or met a graduate from there until this whack job became national news.

Why would BK testify on Monday if she isn’t going to? He’s been through the Senate hearings already. No need to reopen them if she is a no-show.

But the rest of your scenario is interesting. What if the deadline passes, they move him out of Committee, and THEN she says “WAIT, I’ll testify.”

What would Grassley do? Hold firm and say “Too late, you had your chance!” Or cave in again and bring her in?

“Dems always control the optics and the messaging.”

That’s because the media are owned by the Dems.

Exactly! There is nothing more pathetic than the 'what ifs' that appear even in this forum. Remember that God clearly states that words give life. His words gave us creation. Our words of speculation give life to this despicable accuser.

Even the 'so called' conservative talking heads spend most of their time 'what if-ing' this empty attack instead of simply saying, "There is nothing here.... no time, no place... so no thanks, especially when the letter of accusation is still withheld."

If it's the republican votes, then let them vote no and summarily kick them off the committee.

"Republicans should call the bluff and send her an escort that will drive her cross country. . . ."

But, have you driven a Ford lately?

I bet he’d cave. Get the Committee votes and then get the Senate vote! I am so heartbroken for Kavanaugh, his wife and especially his young daughters. What a messed up view those two young girls are going to have of the world we live in. But I guess the world we live in is pretty messed up right now.

She should be use to it. She’s been riding a Rusty Ford, her husband, for years.

What fraction of Americans also believe what a messed up world we live in? I wonder how the rest of the world is viewing this charade and ginned up spectacle. How can anybody take the U.S. seriously when Democrats are willing to torch their country like this?

I fear you are right. We, Republicans are a strange lot. High ideals and principles but no will to fight. We fought the VC, and the hippies when we got back home, got educated, found jobs, raised our families, and then, retired.

We voted for W and got disappointed, then, again, by McCain and Romney. We were delighted with DJT and, after two years of CRAP from the Left, we still have to fight for every, single thing we elected him to do.

There isn’t enough of us anymore. I don’t see a happy ending.

Where’s the countdown clocks? Need two. One for saying she will and one for a no show.

Isn’t this just exactly like the DEms do.....take everything right up to the wire. Just proof again THEY are constructing this show.......their patterns never change.
