I can tell you exactly where it was: Buddy's back yard under a card table covered with a sheet and later in his garage, how old I was: 3 and 4, how old the first boy was: 12 (the youngest), his name: Buddy, what I was wearing: short pants with no underpants and a shirt, what he was wearing: short pants and no underpants and a shirt, what he said the first time: "We're going to play a game," what the other boys said and did and were wearing: the oldest was wearing long pants and a shirt.
I can describe the entire incidents in detail. I never forgot. I never had some kind of "miraculous memory recovery."
I remembered the entire scenarios from that time to this--never forgot a damn thing--and that was in the 1940s!
Make that 175 women.
From your typing fingers to God’s ears. I hope you are right.
All we need to know is that Schumer at some point said they would do anything to derail this nominee and the Republicans are letting them.
The have to go for broke. They have too much invested and too much at stake.
They cannot allow another honest man to be seated on the Supreme Court. He can be expected to bring Truth to light, and that would destroy them. They MUST destroy him first. Their survival is at stake.
They are cornered rats and must fight to the death.
Sounds like a sexual predator to me.
That’s why the Democrats cannot allow an honest man to be seated on the Supreme Court. Honesty will lead him to Truth, i.e. the right answer, and that will destroy them and everything they stand for.
There are 162 women who have openly said Brett Kavanaugh could NOT have done this.
I say that too but like me, they were not on the scene; we are just making assumptions. Hey, 12 jurors said OJ Simpson did not kill his wife but we all know the truth. Hey, I agree with you but we have a system of jurisprudence in this country and it must be followed; right or wrong.
I hope this woman finds help, a GOOD psychiatrist. This is a recovered memory and those have been notoriously wrong. Please reference the McMartin Preschool trials in California in the 80s. Those werent recovered memories, they ere implanted memories from overzealous psychologists. The only thing that saved the McMartin woman and her grandson, Ray Buckey, were the audio tapes of the sessions with the children.
Right. Scorched earth.
They are cornered and are fighting for survival.
If Truth comes out, it will destroy them. They know it.
When Trump declared: "Party's over. I'm going to clean up Washington," the corrupt, entrenched politicians and their henchmen resolved to stop him at any cost and did not think he would succeed to this extent. Now they are in full panic, are waging war for their own survival, and will destroy ANYTHING, blow up ANYTHING to save themselves.
It's going to get worse.
If Trump succeeds--and his spirit is truly indomitable, his intellect truly towering, his goodness and benevolence truly brilliant--he will by far have been the greatest President in US history and one of the greatest men in world history!
GODSPEED, PRESIDENT TRUMP!
MAY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BE WITH YOU--AS GOD SURELY IS!
It’s hard to call. I believe she’s more than willing to go the distance if she has to and give a tearful, staged performance if not to the committee, then to 60 Minutes.
But by making demands the committee can’t meet, she can walk away and say, “They didn’t give me a chance to testify in a safe environment.” The MSM has already convinced most of America he’s guilty, they’ll paint Grassley as the bad guy and that should be enough to give Corker, Flake & maybe Collins the cover to vote against him.
If her story starts to lose credibility because of what others are saying, or because she’s taking too long, then she’ll be forced to testify and close the deal.
It’s never been about whether Kavanaugh did what she alleges, it’s all been about pushing the vote past the November elections. This is nothing more than a dem strategy to prevent Trump from shifting the balance of power on SCOTUS to the conservation side. They have succeeded in pushing the vote beyond next Thursday, insuring Kavanaugh can not be in place for the start of the next term. Now she has to stall until mid-October until it too late for him before the Nov elections. Dems are hoping to control the senate until 2020 and only have 8 judges until then.
Grassley will let it proceed without the letter being produced. He likely will agree to letting her testify without being under oath to “make her comfortable” in telling her story.
That will indicate Grassley has no mind to lose.
Feinstein has immunity under the Constitution (if shes careful about not committing defamation other than in the Senate).Obviously the MSM is the real problem; if the Republicans were foolish enough to try to do anything of the sort to any Democrat, we know what the result would be.
The upshot is that - as I have been saying for years - the only recourse is to sue "the MSM. When you say the MSM what you actually mean, for all practical purposes, is the Associated Press and its membership. The AP wire is a continuous virtual meeting of the AP and its membership, and that meeting has precisely the effect the Adam Smith would have predicted:
People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices. - Adam Smith, Wealth of Nations (1776)The other wire services also homogenize journalism, so the fact that there are multiple wire services does not mitigate the fact that the AP and its membership are in a conspiracy against the public. Its only for organizational differences that, IMHO, the AP is the worst of the worst. As my tagline says, "Journalism promotes itself - and promotes big government - by speaking ill of society. That is its business model. The defamation of Kavenaugh is merely one example of what the MSM does all the time.It is commonplace, of course, that the Democrats conflate society with government. They do so to use society as a euphemism when they mean nothing else but government. This is hardly a new phenomenon; it is an argument that Thomas Paine shredded in 1776:
SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins.Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil . . . - Thomas Paine, Common Sense (1776)Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness;the former promotes our happiness POSITIVELY by uniting our affections, the latter NEGATIVELY by restraining our vices.
The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions.
The first is a patron, the last a punisher.
And everyone of them is probably just waiting for her to yell “rape”.
I fear that you are correct. Chairman Grassley should have shut down this stunt instantly and permanently (so far as the Judiciary Committee is concerned).Failing that, Kavenaugh should have instantly made the denial of the charges he in fact did make later - and announce that if the committee did not vote as sheduled, and vote affirmatively, he would ask President Trump to withdraw his nomination.
Then he should have walked out.
Whether or not Kavenaugh is confirmed, the next time President Trump assays to fill a SCOTUS vacancy, the people on his list will - I think you can make book on it - point out that the custom of SCOTUS judicial nominees visiting senators and testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee is a relative novelty and never occurred before (I think) about 1920 or so.
I think they will announce that, in light of the Kavenaugh experience, there will be no televised introduction of a SCOTUS nominee to the public, no visits to senators by the nominee, no testimony by the nominee to any Senate committee, and no televised Senate committee hearings on the confirmation of the nomination. And that any televised hearing on the confirmation of a nominee would result in the instant withdrawal by the nominee from consideration.
None of them needs the job that badly, and they are singularly well situated to make the point, and make it stick.
Of course that implies that if the Democrats take the Senate, there will be no confirmation of any new SCOTUS justices - but that is a foregone conclusion in any event.
That was the drug addicted guy who had to have his daddy cheat in order to become president?
The guy who left our people and allies on a beach in Cuba to die?
Lost Cuba, lost Turkey, lost Vietnam? Weakened our military?
I can understand why he would be against "fixing blame for the past". And he never took any responsibility for anything.
Not just those two, but the entire spectrum of malicious willful promoters of an obvious fraud.
We’re bouncing that Strassel report around Twitter as we type.
