A psychopath passes a lie detector test because he truly believes everything he says is the truth.

I have a bipolar, Xanax addicted in law like that. She got pissed at me for calling her stupid (she is) and began telling my wife that I was stalking her. After she told the story several times, she came to believe it actually happened. I guarantee she could pass a lie detector test claiming I stalked her.

I still say the leftists searched very hard for anyone from that area and also wherever else Kavanaugh spent time, to find some fellow traveler that would scream #METOO.

Didn’t matter if it was Kavanaugh or some other conservative judge. They would have found someone from his or her past to make some sort of allegations to try and derail conformation.

Ford's deliberate smearing and defaming an honorable jurist----endangering his family's life and liberties---- must be met with a generous measure of US justice. .

Absolutely.

Any question over whether Ford's claim is covered by the statute, if a false statement made to a House member "may" or may not be covered under the statute, could be resolved by a determination of Ford's intent.

If Ford's letter was indeed addressed to Eshoo, one of the issues could be whether Dr. Ford intended to make an ineffectual false claim, or whether she intended or had reason to rely on the belief that Eshoo would forward the statement to a counterpart sitting on the Senate committee.

Is the actual letter that Finestein claims to have received addressed to Finestein, or is she also implicated in this attempt to avoid criminal penalty?

Sad isn’t it that what she did in high school shouldn’t be consider, but the whole issue is what she says Kavanaugh did in high school. Real double standard!

Since she sent it to Eshoo, I would think it was addressed to her, not Feinstein. Eshoo then had it hand delivered to a Feinstein aide.

Subpoena Eshoo.

I disagree.

I don’t think that CBF should be called a slut, a choo-choo, or a puta. I have actually learned some new phrases here on FR in the last few days.

But if CBF has an extensive history of drunken promiscuity—and by some accounts this behavior extended well beyond high school— it does have a direct bearing on her credibility.

That is even more the case now that every other witness that she has identified has denied her allegations under oath.

Right now, her case rests on nothing more than her own 35 year old recovered memory.

Good point. The story so far is that Eshoo sent Ford's letter to her to Finestein.

“Sad isn’t it that what she did in high school shouldn’t be considered”

I don’t see it that way. It’s obvious to me that Ford’s accusations are a calculated political hit, and that Kavanaugh is the innocent victim of a smear.

Nevertheless as a matter of principal the biggest slut in the world still has a right to not be raped or assaulted. There is nothing to be gained by implying otherwise.

“How is it that a committee member can withhold information from other members?”

Good question. Perhaps not illegal but very dirty pool in this case. At best it’s caused an enormous waste of time.

My final opinion: the soap opera will continue until the fence-sitting representatives believe their vote for Kavanaugh won’t cost them too many votes.

Best lie detector I can think of is the barrel of a 45 aimed squarely between the eyes, in any case.

No one should be raped but no one should be able to bring 36 year old charges of groping not rape and the accused have no ability to question the actions of the accuser from 36 years ago.

This narrative has gone from her original charge of groping to sexual assault to rape. This was not rape and so circumstances are different.

I disagree strongly with you and agree with Vikingmom. Bringing up her past gives the optics that she deserved to be raped. That Kavanaugh may have tried to rape her but she deserved it. That would be a terrible mistake.

There is plenty to question here without getting into what a drunken tramp Ford was in high school.

The validity of “recovered memories” and the timing of them. (These memories just happened to surface in 2012 when it seemed Romney might win and appoint Kavanaugh...) The lack of verifiable detail in the accusation, other than the amazing amount of detail about Kavanaugh’s identity. Ford’s professional scrubbing of her social media accounts prior to this coming out.

The list of things to question is endless, but we will gain nothing by calling this woman a slut. It’s about time our side started thinking of what will put us ahead here.

Yep. If they go there first questioning Kavanaugh’s high school days, drag out Ford’s yearbook.
