Grassley promises evaluation of new claims against Kavanaugh, hits Dems for withholding info

Sen. Chuck Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, late Sunday slammed Senate Democrats for withholding information from the committee regarding new sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

The Iowa Republican said the committee will attempt to evaluate the new claims, but said in a statement “it appears that they [Democrats] are more interested in a political takedown" than “pursing allegations through a bipartisan and professional investigative process.”

His office released the statement after two new allegations emerged against Kavanaugh.

Deborah Ramirez, 53, a former Yale classmate, said he exposed himself and thrusted his penis in her face during a drunken dormitory party, according to an article in The New Yorker.

Ramirez claimed Kavanaugh exposed himself to her while she was intoxicated during a drinking game in the 1983-84 academic year, when Kavanaugh was a freshman. She also claimed she inadvertently touched Kavanaugh's penis when she pushed him away and says the incident left her "embarrassed and ashamed and humiliated."

Seven minutes in Heaven. Truth or Dare. PDA in the school hallway. Kindergartners playing doctor. Peaking into the girls’ locker room. Sneaking into the school janitor’s closet. Passing notes in class - If you like me, check the box. Oh, the horrors!

Call for a vote. Make the squishy Republicans go on record. Then leave it to Trump to determine the punishment.

Great idea ... now list me 20 states that are going to elect a strong pro-Trump senator.

Here's a clue for you: the most unapologetically pro-Trump Senate candidate this year is Lou Barletta of Pennsylvania. Why don't you go and see how well his campaign is going right now.

Exactly. Just like the fools that scream for President Trump to "just build the wall" like Trump is a king or a dictator. .

At best, RINOs are frightened turtles....the need coaxing for them to stick their heads out.

My hope is that the RINOs are not truly ideologues for the Left.
My hope is that the RINOs just like the taste of power and have been leaning Left for years because that’s where the power has been.

I hope that Kavanaugh triumphs and gets on the Supreme Court.
I hope that the GOP outperforms expectations in the mid-terms.
I hope that Trump is able to actively fight the Deep State after the elections.

Maybe the RINOs which come to believe that if they want to keep tasting power, maybe it’s time to lean Right.
Because if the RINOs stop being RINOs, then we have a lot of very real power.

But we shall see.

If we lose this, we very well will lose the Midterms.

Grassley is 85 years old!!

The only person older than him in the Senate is Feinstein.

Without the necessary votes to move Kavanaugh forward, what exactly is Grassley expected to do??

Technically the committee can forward nomination to the floor no matter what the committee vote is

Grassley’s unnecessary details allow this to happen. Clinton’s lawyers now run his committee and he is afraid of Collins and Flake. Take a vote, let them take a stand.

As this plays out I think we need to consider how Christine Blasey Ford will find her way into the American vernacular. In the same way Bork became Borked (a verb), Lewinski a noun (You go a Lewinski).

I hope Ford is happy with how she will be immortalized. So what will it Be?

Kavanaugh can't fold. He testified in committee that he was never involved in such stuff in response to a democrat senator. He's now in perjury territory if the dems can get the accusers, especially Ramirez to testify otherwise under oath. That will lead to his impeachment off the circuit court and disbarment.

Democrats intend to totally destroy the man, in a similar fashion as Manefort to send a message that the DS is your ruler.

Hi guy. I hope you are doing well.

“At some point, Grassley and the Republicans become complicit.”

Methinks they already are.
