Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has verbally resigned to Chief of Staff John Kelly in anticipation of being fired by President Trump, according to a source with direct knowledge. Per a second source with direct knowledge: “He’s expecting to be fired,” so he plans to step down.

As soon as he leaves the DOJ, lock his doors, get a new lock installed asap. Take everything out of his office with a big evidence tag on it. If he parks in the basement, boot the car.

Trump is being played. He should not fire anyone. He will never get another appointment. So if he thinks there will be a replacement that he likes, he is crazy.

I wonder whether the WH will accept the resignation?
For example, they could yank his clearance. Certainly enough evidence to support that.
They could also inform him they want him at his desk when they declassify.
What might follow from that is he’s taken from his desk in cuffs, much like they did traders on Wall Street in the 80s for insider trading.
It would take all the wind out of the sails of the ‘red line’ crowd.

I’m sure everything important already has been squirreled away in his boots, undies, or whatever, and out of his office. They’re safely locked up in his home somewhere.

I was hoping it might be fact.
And for a long time Fox said he was “Headed to the White House”. Now that’s changed to “En Route to the White House”. It’s really getting to be pretty comical.
He needs to finish deleting all his emails and files.
That thought has occurred to me, also. But who knows if he'll really be fired today.
