All the more reason we should be insisting upon TERM LIMITS. There is no honest way that an elected official can become fabulously wealthy on a modest $174,000 per year salary, in DC's high cost-high tax environment. But they do so, hundreds of them.

Spot on. Everett Dirksen relished his minority status in the 50s and 60s and looked he has his name on the Senate office bldg. Dirksen is who all these guys want to be.
