As of yet Dallas has not increased the charge from manslaughter. It probably takes a few weeks to convene a grand jury.

Something is totally OFF about this young woman. This is her 2nd shooting as a cop.

It’ll be interesting if all of the facts ever see the light of day.

Yeah. I'm one of those folks who wants to support police 100%. But they have to clean house of the small number of bad actors. In Cleveland, remember Tamir Rice, the kid who was shot brandishing a toy gun without its markings? The concern that he was older and dangerous was justified. But on the other hand, the policeman who did the shooting was one who couldn't cut it in a relatively safe suburban town.

When female officers were the goal initially, some folks stated that this would lead to more shootings, as criminals would size up the officer and refuse to follow their directives.

While that isn’t the case in all instances, I do believe it is in some. This woman’s first shooting may be evidence of that. I don’t know. I don’t know if you can even tell in some instances where it is a factor.

This shooting in the mistaken apartment is a very unfortunate shooting. I don’t believe she went there with intent to kill someone. She just made one mistake and went down a path making more until she killed the man, without cause.

I think we can safely say here law enforcement career has come to an unfortunate (or fortunate for future potential victims) end.

No doubt...this whole thing stinks like 4 day old fish. I think these two folks knew each other...well. And it went south in a major way.

I’m thinking that, too.

I think these two folks knew each other...well.

Two possibilities:

1. They had some form of relationship and out of all other possible arrangements, he just happened to have an apartment directly above hers.

2. She didn't know him and really did go to the wrong floor by mistake and entered his apartment because it was directly above hers.

#1 is very unlikely

#2 is the more simple and likely explanation, particularly if she was impaired in some way.

Yeah. I'm one of those folks who wants to support police 100%.

Why? It’s much easier to just support the law.

Third Possibility-—His apartment is directly above hers. He was playing his music too loud. She was tired. She gets mad. She goes to his apartment. They have words. She shoots him.

I think the poster child for stupidy is letting that petite 50 year old guard escort that huge felon "suspect" into a courtroom in Atlanta some years back.

He easily grabbed her gun, shot a couple of law enforcement officers dead on the way out of the courthouse and promptly fled to a random woman's apartment where he took her hostage. The hostage was the real hero in the entire fiasco. She made up the couch for him, had him spend the night, fixed him breakfast the next morning and talked him into a peaceful surrender. No specialized training, just her instincts as a woman.

The perp was not restained for PC reasons-- they thought it would prejudice the judge. The little petite escort was also chosen for PC reasons-- they wanted to show a woman was the same as a man. And for that, two law enforcement officers lost their lives.

But I guess the Deep State considers that a small price to pay to be PC.

Pictures floating around show her with the deceased.

She is hinted to have had a relationship with him.

Kind of funny in a way. Some of my more liberal FB friends and my more hard core right friends have joined together in saying this was a murder.

And I am inclined to think something is off myself

It’s called affirmative action. Police departments are being pressured into taking unqualified people because they don’t have enough women, minorities, etc.

I live in a community which (so far) has managed to stay very safe. A key part of that is everyone having respect for and trust in the police department. There's next to no event that could potentially affect our safety and security that goes unreported. That would not be the case if everyone didn't have trust in the police.

I’d read here and there that she’d lodged several complaints against him via the apartment management group.

Hard to tell these days. Anyone can post anything on the internet.

**************

This is the one thing I’d like to see explained in detail with facts.
Supposedly she was on the wrong floor. It’s hard for me to believe she
didn’t realize the floor she parked on. And the red floor mat at the
door should have been some indicator.

Who knows what will happen but I expect the employer will be in for a
large settlement fee. An she probably should spend some time in lock up.

The ones I saw at the time appeared to show the deceased with other women who did not even look like the former police officer. That is the same trick done with photos that purport to show crisis actors.

I’d honestly have to suspect she was under the influence. It could be she was just tired, but driving up another floor? Sounds fishy. It may be easier than I think though.

As you said, the mat.

As I understand it, the floors do look alike, but that mat.

Then I have a hard time seeing that guy acting as if he was attacking her. I’m sure he was taken off guard, and then her orders were likely to have been dismissed, unless she was wearing a uniform.

Yes, there’s a lot to be learned here.

Two shootings, only four years on the force. Most cops go all the way to retirement without discharging their weapons.
