Despite shootings, states return to familiar patterns (barf alert)

Shortly after last year's shooting massacre on the Las Vegas strip, Ohio Gov. John Kasich convened a working group to explore possible reforms to state gun laws.

A Republican, Kasich wanted to be sure the panel's members clearly supported the Second Amendment. Yet it also was to be bipartisan, with members from across the political spectrum.

The panel's work accelerated after the Valentine's Day slaughter at a high school in Parkland, Florida, and it eventually produced a legislative package of what Kasich labeled "sensible changes that should keep people safer." The legislation was introduced by a Republican lawmaker in the GOP-dominated Legislature.

It went nowhere.

Among other objections, the Republican leadership raised constitutional concerns about a provision allowing courts to order that weapons be seized from people showing signs of violence.

"The way we put it together, the fact that you had people on both sides of the issue — I would have thought something would have happened," said Kasich, who watched the bill package languish in legislative chambers run by his own party. "But the negative voices come in unison and they come strongly."

The Ohio experience is not unusual.

Leftists are highly displeased that their multiple false flag operations have not worked as planned.

40 or so years ago, people carried guns openly.

Deer rifles on a rack in the back window of pick up trucks.

Hand guns in the glove box.

A lot fewer gun laws and restrictions

And a lot fewer shootings.

Is this piece intended to have us stand down?!

It isn't over, everything isn't going back to how it was before the great media propaganda anti-2A rights program featuring ill informed children. State legislatures are just now addressing bills introduced as a result of the various shooting incidents.

PA has House Bills 2060 and 2227 taking away rights under the cover of the paid for media blitz.

HB 2060: https://foac-pac.org/Proposed-Pennsylvania-House-Legislation-HB2060/State-Law/3067

HB 2227: https://foac-pac.org/Proposed-Pennsylvania-House-Legislation-HB2227/State-Law/3111

NRA-ILA: House Bill 2227 creates so-called “extreme risk protection orders” whereby a hearing would be held, firearms would be seized, and constitutional rights suspended with little to no due process. Under House Bill 2227, a law-abiding gun owner could lose their right to own or possess a firearm and then have the burden placed on them to prove the false nature of the petition in order to have their firearms returned. This legislation does nothing to improve public safety, and allows for an extremely broad definition of who can petition to remove someone's Second Amendment rights.

The maneuvering to take your rights is on now! This is not the time to sit back.
