It's soon going to happen in this country too, bet on it.
I recall the many UN resolutions against Saddam Hussein for slaughtering his own people and when is George Bush going to man up and save those poor Iraqis.
We all know how that went the minute the first cruise missile hit Baghdad.
Isn’t it ironic that Chavez and Maduro used the USA as the boogy man about to invade as an excuse to continue the “revolution”. Sounds a lot like Castro.
Now that the revolution has come to it’s end, the civilians are begging for an invasion to save them from socialism.
No thanks. Venezuela is not in our interest. No expenditure of US blood and treasure for stupid voters. They voted for socialism and they are getting socialism.
“Not my circus, not my monkeys.”
Not our problem.
Let the locals fix their own crap for a change.
Can’t take credit for the turn of phrase. The President said that in his address to the UN.
Clear out a VFW bar on a Sunday afternoon and send them down for the rest of the day. Good for morale and most could use a bit of exercise. Monday morning fly em home.
NOT OUR JOB. Let ‘em kill him themselves.
The Venezuela military will cave immediately. No fight at all. Take Caracas in a few hrs and the revolution will handle the rest.
Hopefully the Venezuelans will kill all the Irainians and Russians there.
When it gets to the point that Maduro’s army officers are starving, then it will be lights out.
Let them sort it out.
From your keyboard to God’s ears! Thank you sir.
I can’t imagine, really, why the US would want to spend money and risk lives to rescue Venezuela from its self-imposed problem, only to be criticized by every country in the world for intervening in a South American “democracy” again”, and with every likelihood that the Venezuelans will go right back to another socialist like Chavez or Maduro when they are promised other people’s money.
Brazil and/or Colombia would seem to have more incentive to try and do something about it.
We have boots on the ground shooting in way too many places right now.
The people voted for Maduro (granted, his monkeys did the vote counting). When all of the shortages start to hit the military officers in the stomach, things will move in a corrective direction.
Exactly, they have to want to do it for themselves.
Exactly. If the US did intervene, our “pals” in the region would call us imperialists. The Venezuealan people voted for this, so let them live with the awful consequences until they throw the scoundrels out themselves.
Venezuela will have to solve her own problems. But I wouldn’t be opposed to clandestinely arming the opposition.
The writer asked one Christian at a religious retreat about how we should take out a socialist dictator in a sovereign country.
And then wrote an article.
It means nothing.
The life of one US serviceman is not worth the whole country of pendejos. They have always hated us and always will. Let Columbia and Brazil be the hero.
