Is it just me or did you notice a huge disconnect between Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s older appearance and the baby-like quality of her voice and presentation?

The juxtaposition was hard to miss.

I am not trying to shame her, but she looks exceedingly older for her age than one would expect. Sometimes time isn't kind to us, but the mismatch between her inner world and her outer self is a huge discrepancy.

For a woman who was by her account in a stressful situation in the hearing room, as she said “terrified,” she seemed to be all smiles and enjoying the doting attention of the men and women around her, whether her handlers or others.

Although she spoke with a teeny tiny baby voice, her eyes were blank and staring into space virtually expressionless. Her glasses seemed to be like props. Deliberately oversized as if to somehow emphasize she was in possession of high intellect. Or at least that was the vibe that I got. It didn't sell me.

She seemed highly agitated and irritated. I found her painful to watch and listen to because the way she presented herself was so at odds with the level of maturity I expected from a woman of 51. Everything about her seemed inauthentic. The looks didn't match the voice, didn't match the eyes, didn't match the glasses. Her periodic joyous smiles at all the attention she was receiving seemed inappropriate. And no matter how many times she swigged down that Coke, I couldn't help but thinking she wasn't the "real thing".

Perhaps because she wasn't.

I think she is seriously mentally ill. She is a basket case nutjob. The Dems used her for their purpose. She is now disposable. I am sorry to say, she most likely will end up taking an overdose of sleeping pills sometime in the relatively near future. As a Christian, I feel sorry for her.

The first link with the American Thinker article has a fact wrong, rather sequence wrong:

From the article: "I'm referring to the mysterious incident in the bathroom. Press reports indicated that she claimed that Brett Kavanaugh "corralled" her into an upstairs bedroom. Now we have more detail: that Ms. Ford went to an upstairs bathroom, and when she came out, Kavanaugh dragged her into a bedroom."

From her account before the Committee: "When I got to the top of the stairs, I was pushed from behind into a bedroom across from the bathroom . . ."

She didn't get into the bathroom until after the alleged assault.

Actually, Ms Mitchell did establish that Dr Blasey-Ford travelled by air to Costa Rica, Hawaii, Fiji/French Polynesia, Manchester New Hampshire (Grandmother’s funeral) and her parents home in Delaware at least once a year.

There wasn’t any strong follow up; though, presumably because the Republican’s had given Mitchell instructions to go easy because they were afraid any serious cross examination would be politically detrimental. (In reality proper cross examination was impossible w/the time limit and the silly 5-minute segment questioning format!)

There are some pretty prominent Republicans who thought she was very believable and made a strong case. I have no idea how anyone outside of an idiot who will base everything upon emotion could not see through her bizarre charade from her answers, memory lapses and totally bizarre voice,hair and glasses.

I had not read this earlier… but after watching her yesterday, I think her behavior and her story now make sense. She is but a lost sinner and sinners have two choices… they can choose to ask for Christ’s forgiveness of their sins or they can choose to ignore Christ’s offer of forgiveness and go their own way to death, Hell and eternal damnation. In order to justify her past sinful behaviour, she has deluded herself into believing that everything she has done in the past was either not sinful or she was a victim of someone else’s sinful behaviour. And now, she is so deluded that she doesn’t know truth from untruths….

That was my first reaction in observing her, a mental illness. She may really believe she was raped by Kavanagh in some dark crevice of her mind.

I dated a girl in college who was date raped, she could tell you when, where, who and what happened and it left a scare. She never reported it but told several of her friends and they all knew the guy could do such a thing. She dealt with the guy herself. She allowed herself to be cornered again by this guy and when he thought he was going to get a repeat she threw down on him with her fathers .45 and he pissed himself, literally. She forced him out of the dorm room into the hallway and others saw him. He left school quickly there after.

This girl had damage, you could be doing something innocent and she all of a sudden would tense up and you could see in her eyes she was reliving the rape.

Ford is either outright lying or her mental illness is affecting her statements.

When you put it like that; I must agree. I hope she gets serious mental health help. They kind where they keep her until she is no longer a danger to herself or anyone else.

DID is controversial both within psychiatry and the legal system.[3][6] In court cases it has been used as a rarely successful form of the insanity defense.[8][9] It is unclear if increased rates of the disorder are due to better recognized or sociocultural factors such as media portrayals.[3] A large proportion of diagnoses are clustered around a small number of clinicians, which supports the hypothesis that DID may be therapist-induced.[3] The typical presenting symptoms in different regions of the world may also vary depending on how the disorder is depicted by the media.[3]

Ford is a mess, she needs ongoing therapy because she is nuts. She wasn’t credible at all, she was a sad figure, she needs help and prayers.
