Thurs in the hearings, someone asked Judge Kavanaugh if he knew there were no limitations in that state/county... I don’t remember who.. but Judge Kavanaugh said “yes”. He was frustrated when he gave that answer and maybe it slipped in, that yes or no, they were there and he was being attacked.
I am frustrated that the dims... being in the wrong.. doing what they have done... all the time doing the dirtiest of dirty tricks to get their way... not caring who they destroy.. those dims get their way today.. because the GOP. Grassley.. gave in! and there were not another half dozen brave republicans who could have blown up at the dims like Graham did... plus they could have stood with him all this time and won this thing. Their lack is mind boggling! watch a good and decent man and his family.. be destroyed!
All it takes is for one of the weak RINO sisters to vote “present” instead of No. Then it would be a tie that Pence would break.
To be honest,
I don’t think they are necessarily looking for criminal investigation.
They are calling for the FBI to a background search of him, regarding these allegations.
Statute of limitations don’t need to apply.
They are interested in CHARACTER assassination.
They want to send a message to any other potential nominees.
You give the low life too much credit.
At any rate....Dem goal has been to “Create doubt”...that's it. So they could continue to move their ball down the court of delay and destroy..and you know the rest.
I agree about those saying basically Good luck herding Collins and Murkowski into the “yeah” column. Collins is notorious for selling out to the highest bidder....I want to see her investigated for bribes, she plays this had always.
Actually the FBI sometimes has jurisdiction over kidnapping. Ford accused Kavanaugh of locking the door to prevent her escape. This is legally considered kidnapping. There appears to be a 7 year federal statute of limitations on kidnapping that does not result in death. However, the only federal law I have found so far is Title 18, U.S.C., Section 249, which is also known as the Hate Crimes Act.
In Maryland, there is no statute of limitations for rape or sexual violence. Rape was not alleged, and I don’t know what a prosecutor would file if Ford had reported in 1982. Probably nothing, if no date, time, or location were given.

The Senate lowered itself to hearing about a misdemeanor and wants FBI to investigate the same.
I can’t stop laughing at the absurdity of it all.
In the comments section, a couple of people who say they ARE licensed as psychologists in CA are really flaming Ford for what the delilberate deception re her 'qualifications'.

Sadly, ex post facto has been ignored for decades now; see, for example, federal retrials of murders as deprivation of rights under laws that were passed decades after the murders took place.

So the local vermin have already examined opening an active investigation for an alleged crime committed 36 years ago which was a misdemeanore with a statue of limitations of 1 years.
