Christine Braley Ford is already pushing for removal of the one-week time limit senators agreed to Friday on a new FBI investigation of her allegation that Judge Brett Kavanaugh sexually molested her 36 years ago at a high school party.
Ford “welcomes this step in the process,” her attorney, Debra Katz, said in a statement. Katz added that Ford “no artificial limits as to time or scope should be imposed on this investigation.”
If Ford refuses to change her position, it could blow up an informal deal worked out between Republicans and Democrats on the Senate Committee on the Judiciary that allowed the Kavanaugh nomination to go forward while also allowing further investigation by the FBI of his background.

Ford and her attorney do not run this process. What the heck? They do not have veto power over what has been agreed to.

I would think the FBI will decide when they are finished.
Subpoena her lying @$$ and get her on false statements.
She has no say in this.
The Committee should never have negotiated with her in the first place, but they have absolutely no reason to negotiate now.
Who cares what she says. It does not matter. She came, gave testimony. Her demands are no longer relevant. She should go back home and write a book and spend her gofundme money.
Surprise,surprise. I don’t know if I trust anyone in the Senate or FBI to say enough is enough and end this farce in a weeks time.
I missed the part where the accuser and council were given authority over this process.

No more demands on your 40 year “Spin the Bottle” case that went bad. This is getting tiring. Why don’t you come up with some facts.

Only a matter of time before Jeff Flake agrees and calls for an extension.
Senators on the Judiciary committee made the right call by imposing a one week time limit.
Within a week, the FBI will be able to determine if there’s any substance to the claims against Judge Kavanaugh. If not, the supplemental BI will be closed and the vote on his nomination will proceed. If there is substance, the probe can be expanded and/or the appropriate law enforcement agencies can be engaged. There are serious crimes alleged.
I do not believe for a second that the allegations against Kavanaugh are true. But, I can admit that I might be wrong about that. So, as the GOP leaders in the Senate have wisely requested and the President has ordered, let the one week BI be the litmus test. I can be patient enough to wait and see.
