I suspect the Left puts on religion like a mask. And, like a mask, nobody except the wearer is fooled. Pelosi is someone who has heard of piety. Never having experienced it, she feels she can put on its semblance and the watcher will be deceived. She would be shocked to find this is not true. This is because she believes those who are pious are dullards who should be easily fooled.
A news show talking head said of her, “Pelosi does not represent the views of the average American. She does, however, represent the views of her constituents.” Therein lies the answer to her political longevity.

One time I wore a dress and wig and went out in public for the night. I didn’t fool anyone even though I pretended to be a chick.
Of course I was about 10 at the time at it was Halloween but.....
