If truth were the only goal, Feinstein would not have sat on the allegation until the last minute, Ford would have spoken to judiciary committee members in private, as Kavanaugh did, before testifying in public, and Democratic Senators at the hearings would have asked her questions about story instead of gushing over her.

Oh, one more quick idea. Kavanaugh ought to hire Mike Judge and every person mentioned on his calendar as his “attorney”...then the FBI couldn’t interview them because of attorney-client privilege.
The same tactic, IIRC, Comey and Hillary used.
