The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-nine percent (49%) disapprove.

A lot of people think Rasmussen is too Republican-friendly in its methodology, but to me what matters is the overall trendline. UP.
That’s great but what about that disapproval number that’s what’s that about?.
Democrats and the media overplayed their hand with Judge Kavanaugh and it is already showing up. There is still over a month to the midterm elections, which is a lifetime. But, for today, this is good news.

Democrat pollster Larry Sabato says you have to add 10 points to any Trump poll to account for the bias of the pollsters.
Meaning, Trump is at 60% approval.

Exactly. And even more important than the headline number is the % who strongly approve vs. disapprove. Trump has been underwater on this measure by as much as 20 points.
The current number is -3%, which is much tighter than it has been in a very long time.
More importantly there’s a clear trend over the past week from -9% which was closer to the average this year. This looks significant. Eyeballing it, it looks like about 4-5% of the population went from weak supporters to strong supporters, while another 4% went from strong disapprove to weak disapprove.
Probably better to wait a few days to see if this trend sticks before trying to interpret it, but if it does stick, it may be that Trump’s support for Kavanaugh has strengthened his existing support, while causing about 10% of his strong opponents (4-5% of 45%) to think he might just be right for once.

The latest poll to watch will be the lineup for another Trump rally. Full venues, masses outside watching. When I saw this during 2016 I knew that there’s no way this was meaningless - I knew he was going to win.
As been said many times, Trump is blessed with having opponents who are absolutely insane.
50% is a KILLER good rating at this point!

Intelligent people realize that most pollsters are rabidly pro DNC activists whoese polls until right before Election day are propaganda while Rasmussen is one of the few who tries to find an honest balance.
In modern media terms “Republican friendly” is code for “not willing to use his polls to push our current media narrative”
50% is the magic number.
