What is this “murder team”?

Are the Turks going to arrest and try, and hopefully convict these murderers?

I can’t get the page to load properly, but here are a few observations:

The Erdogan government is quite willing to use legal resources for political ends, and has interred thousands of people on flimsy pretexts. So their words are untrustworthy.

The Turks and Saudis are long time rivals for influence in the Islamic world, and Turks and Arabs have a tradition of mutual hatred dating back to the Ottoman Empire.

The Saudis royal family (10,000 people strong of whom about 25% matter) 1) generally prefer to throw money at problems and hope they go away, 2) generally prefer to kick problem individuals out of the country, in hopes they become someone else’s problem, and 3) will get their hands dirty if they need to if 1) and 2) don’t solve the problem.

It is quite possible that the Saudis killed Mr.Khashoggi, but he would have to have been a very large burr in their saddle, and knowing that doing so in thier own consulate would both be unusual, and draw attention, but worth it to solve the problem.

However, you can’t trust the Turks word on it.

Turkey likely had some internal surveillance equipment in the consul or something like a mole. Turkey or sources, seem to say, they think the Saudis videotaped the killing as proof for back in Saudi Arabia according to MEE (Middle Eastern Eye). Maybe the police monitor the internet as well and caught something. Somehow, they know. Now, the Saudis are denying he was killed.

“Senior police source tells MEE that police believe Khashoggi’s suspected killing was videotaped ‘to prove the mission had been accomplished’”

How could anyone believe that the same person who ordered the torture of his kinfolk in the Riyadh Ritz-Carleton would kill, and dismember a journalist who was critical of him? It strains credulity.

Our dear allies, the KSA are peace loving and kind. Just ask all those dead Yemeni children.

Comment: Did the Saudis sent the video by email?

Yasin Aktay: Before entering the Saudi consulate, Khashoggi told his fiancé Miss Hatice to call myself and Turan Kislakci if something happened to him.

By the way, it seems that at the beginning, Khashoggi’s abduction or murder was presented as a success of the intelligence service in the Saudi media. Of course, there was a great confusion there too. When it was found out that he was missing, the news were reporting that he was arrested by Interpol.

First of all, there was no search warrant for him, and secondly, there was nothing successful about this whether it be intelligence-wise or operational.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday summoned Saudi Arabian Ambassador Waleed A. M. Elkhereiji for the second time after journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s disappearance and demanded permission to search the consulate building in Istanbul, diplomatic sources said Monday.

This is a fascinating situation

No question he got the Tony Spilotro slash (get it) Roy DeMeo tupperware party in that consulate in Istanbul

Or he’s held somewhere

Not likely cause the Turks are all over this

I wondered if he was related to former super rich Adnan Kashoggi.....80s big wig

This Kashoggi was an anti Trump Saudi in contrast to the new de facto shotcaller Mohammed bin Salman

Kashoggi was also a pal to Bin Laden and think Crown Prince Salman is too soft on Israel and doesn’t support Saudi war on Iran nor Salman attempts to westernize

This new boss man is very shrewd and ruthless in a tough room

He’s already busted up his oligarch cousins who challenged him and took just enough of their money to leave them still rich but far less powerful

And now he’s shown he’s willing to kill opponents even abroad

It’s fascinating

A new worm has turned there

He was a cousin. Pimped a progressive group in S.A. and was a critic of the new King Salman. Not surprising he ended up dead. As far as I’m concerned, no real loss and nothing to get all riled up about. Other countries know how to handle their media.

He's his nephew. He's also the nephew of Mohammed Al-Fayed and the first cousin of Doadi Fayed. Not to mention muslim brotherhood and best buddies with Osama bin Laden.
