I use the glass bowl method. You fit the bowl over the nest making sure there are no gaps, you can fill the gaps with sand. Needless to say, do it at night. The next day the wasps will come out and fly around in the bowl, their new world, go back in empty handed, come back out, etc. After a day or two most will be dead. They have a Just In Time food delivery system without much of a stockpile.

Sometimes my method will work better, and sometimes yours will work better. But they usually both work. Setting up the fake glass bowl world is more difficult when we are trying to fool leftists. But it is possible.

My dad used aluminum screen mesh shaped into a cylinder with a cone shaped funnel for an entrance. He put that over the nest, and when a sufficent number were flying around inside, he gassed them. In two days the nest had been “deactivated.”

Of course he was of German descent, and an engineer as well.
