Speaking Tuesday, she listed what she called achievements that had improved the U.S.s standing on the world stage, including withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal and improving relations with North Korea.
She also thanked Trumps son-in-law, Jared Kushner, calling him a hidden genius, who along with his wife Ivanka does a lot of things behind the scenes that I wish more people knew about. Both Kushner and Ivanka Trump are senior advisers to the president.
Trump did not name a replacement for Haley, but said many people want to take her place.

Job burnout is an occupational hazard in politics. After eight years, she reached her limit.
For some people, theres life after politics.
It's called "Lobbying".
In any case, time to roll out Ambassador Bolton for a return visit to the U.N., this time with a full senate confirmation.
President Trump was going to make lobbying off limits for former Executive Branch employees. Was that ever done?
Imagine going to the UN everyday to work.
He does seem to have a knack for finding middle ground and talking sense to a variety of people evidently.
And evidently he and Ivanka are in pretty good shape if they can run/jog 10 miles. I guess you need some stamina to have someone like Ivanka as a wife. ;~)
Imagine going to the UN everyday to work.
Never bring anything valuable it’ll get stolen
I hope to God Ivanka isn’t given the role.
All she seems to do is attend ‘meetings’ and make silly little videos showcasing said ‘meetings’. I have heard not one original eloquent thought come out of her mouth. Not one.
Maybe she serves a greater purpose but she seems to be nothing but a self publicist clearly with further ambitions. She is unquestionably a liberal and should Trump give her the UN role it for me would be the single biggest mistake of his presidency and she would no doubt push her liberal agenda (immigration/climate hoax) there. The press would have a field day. It is an unconceivable distraction. Dislike Haley as much as I do, she has done her work (or Trumps) under the radar. Ivanka will not.
I hope the idea is snuffed out very very quickly.
Doesn’t matter—Kushner is too conflicted and shouldn’t be there.
Haley has done a good job in this position.
Didn’t like her all that well but when she agreed to serve she has been solid in her performance.
Also, despite every possible privilege he needed millions of criminal Dad’s funds to get into Harvard.
And what I really don’t get is why Drudge has been the Javanka personal PR machine for the last three years. I know they have a paid publicist to generate the good stories for them, but what is Matty doing so much more reliably posting pro-Javanka than pro-Trump?
Agreed. And like Pence, though a GOPe creature to the core, she could potentially be lured to stay on board for a favored 2024, Trump-third-term run.
A female friend of mine was a semi-conservative GOP rising star. Headed toward state-wide elected official, but marriage/family issues arose. She was term-limited, finished her term strongly, went into private business and never looked back. Good person.
Bolton’s been there and done that. I think he’s too valuable at NSA to be put back in the septic tank that is the UN. Now, Sebastian Gorka would fit in the UN and take it down a peg or two...
Or consulting, maybe with a good think-tank that combines high salaries with little work for those who lend credibility to their firm.
She’s done well, give her a break and let her earn some serious money, then who knows?
Javanka represent a consistent liberal voice in the Trump WH - the less Trump listens to his daughter and son-in-law, the better off we all are. Ivanka is a feminist who's one step away of tweeting for #metoo, Jared just seems like a run of the mill milquetoast liberal.
