The word tariff by itself is meaningless. You have to specify whose tariffs. Our import tariffs can’t hurt DOMESTIC workers but a lack of one sure can. OTH Their tariffs can hurt our workers.

Funny how the left and the MSM are taking the side of global corporatists on issues of trade and not the side of US workers just to score what they think are points against President Trump.
It is also ironic that it’s only called a “trade war” when the USA retaliates in kind. Kind of like saying it’s really a rape only if she fight back and ends up beaten near to death.
What people don’t understand is that there’s going to be some short-term pain involved. For far too long, we’ve been completely screwed on trade. For this reset, I would gladly pay several dollars more for appliances and such knowing that both the price and manufacturing of said product will both come down and return to the U.S.
Sounds like they are going to boot lots of high paid middle management and replace them with fewer, younger, lower paid versions. Probably make them train their replacements.

Ford stopped making cars, they now only make trucks and SUVs. Why would they WANT to keep an entire batch of people (car designers) on their staff?
