President Donald Trump will rally supporters in Houston, Texas, next Monday, according to a statement from his campaign. The event is scheduled to be held at NRG Arena, a location that can seat 8,000 people.
The President looks forward to celebrating the booming Trump economy thats delivering new jobs and bigger paychecks to the hardworking men and women across the Lone Star State, the Chief Operating Officer for the Trump campaign said in a statement to reporters.
Trump promised to campaign in Texas to help Sen. Ted Cruzs re-election campaign after the well-funded Beto ORourke sparked hopes from Democrats looking to flip the Senate to a Democratic majority.

Im picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find....
NRG arena is the biggest in Texas?? Not by a long shot. Fake claim by the President!
/s
Maybe its the biggest he could find *available and that meets security parameters.
Also, Houston is Teds home city and Kevin Brady - guy who worked his @$$ off on tax cuts, too.
Yeah!
An ounce of PREVENTING voter fraud is worth a ton of MITIGATING voter fraud after the fact.
Security in an arena that holds 67,000 would be next to impossible Im sure the SS are having damned near heart attacks over a 10,000 venue!!! I am quite sure the SS are not happy with Trump and these rallies!!! Letting Trump be Trump is a nightmare for the SS!!!
Maybe it was the largest available at this short notice.
Too bad because I think that 20,000 - 30,000 seats could be filled.
Easily.
agreed
You’re correct. Better to have a 8,000 capacity for security reasons.
