I had a friend who worked for the World Bank in the 1960s. He got to travel the world as part of his job. He'd come back and regale us with his stories of the world through his eyes.
One thing I never forgot was his descriptions of Sweden. He said he had never been to such a depressing country. Everyone there lived in a state of deep angst and depression. Of all the countries he visited, Sweden was the one country he was most happy to leave. He said there is something seriously mentally wrong with the Swedish people.
