The top Treasury Department employee who was arrested and charged by federal authorities with leaking confidential financial documents pertaining to former Trump officials was apprehended with a flash drive containing the allegedly pilfered information in her hand, prosecutors said Wednesday.

The dramatic arrest came on the heels of other high-profile, leak-related prosecutions under the Trump administration, which has pledged to go on the offensive against leakers that the president has called "traitors and cowards."

Natalie Mayflower Sours Edwards, 40, a senior official at the department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), is accused of illegally giving a reporter bank reports documenting several suspicious financial transactions, known as Suspicious Activity Reports (“SARs”), from October 2017 to the present.

They need a very speedy trial and show no mercy.

She will get a jury made up of other D.C. Fed employee swamp monsters.

Jeez, her online pics are certainly flattering ;-)

She should do extra time for being so stupid as to have the drive on her. Dumb criminals.

Yep, it needs to hurt her and scare the crap out of others enough that they’ll spend the rest of their lives looking over their shoulders.

I work for a private company and know some secrets. I would never remotely consider sharing them with a competitor.

She will never be trusted in the finance industry again. ( after she gets out of jail). If she thinks anyone on the left is going to look out for her, she’s highly mistaken. She’s screwed her life up.

So she was busted with a flash drive, another October Surprise derailed. The media was all over the leaked material when Avenatti was parading it around. Doubt they will even report what should be a very big story....

“”In a hearing Wednesday afternoon, federal magistrate judge Theresa Buchanan released Edwards on her own personal recognizance on Wednesday, subject to the custody of her parents. She and her parents also signed a $100,000 bond as part of her release. Edwards, who appeared in court wearing street clothes, faces two charges, each one carrying a maximum sentence of five years and a $250,000 fine. She is due back in court Nov. 2.””

40 years old and in the custody of her parents? She must be one responsible individual - just the kind we like receiving a paycheck from us, the taxpayers.

Throw the book at her - each count = $500,000 fine and 10 years in prison. Hope she’ll be proud of her “whistle blower” status... As I understand the article, anyone in her role as an employee is to watch for such transactions for money laundering and report it - BUT NOT TO THE PRESS! Clearly, she didn’t understand the rules of the job!

AND not even fired - how do you like that? Stinks!

Pelosi said her number one issue if she got back in power was investigating Trump’s tax records.
Direct connection to Pelosi.

I’m guessing paid administrative leave, and she’ll still somehow get a pension, then community service.... I’m too cynical after all of these years to think much will come of this.

The article said she was placed on administrative leave, thus she is getting a full salary, almost like a vacation. She must be single, since she'll be with her parents. I wonder what's her and her parents' background.

Did she do it for money (from Soros?) or her devotion to Hillary and the radical left?
