The NYPost article claims that “ethnic Catholic” plays big state-wide. I don't buy that at all. By the second generation, every ethnic Catholic group seems to divide between those who take their Catholicism seriously and those who don't. The former tend to be Republicans, while the latter tend to be Dems. And it's the Dems who, lacking a strong religious identity, are more likely — perhaps — to cling to ethnic labels. Bottom line is I doubt Joe Crowley is a powerhouse statewide.

Crowley needs to give it up and find a new career. Guess he can milk lots of money out of people for his futile effort while he figures out what is next. I cannot image he could win any local or state office. Heck, he got beat by Ocasio-Cortez, and unemployed bartender with a Halloween-perfect face that had to scare anyone at the bar regardless of how many drinks they’ve had. And Catholic, don’t drag us into this...
