I LOVED working 4/10’s in the past and everyone I’ve ever met that had that work week was over-the-moon about it, too. :)

With more and more white collar workers telecommuting, four tens is a lot easier to justify. If I had to be at the office for 11 hours a day, I’d go nuts.

I LOVED working 4/10’s in the past and everyone I’ve ever met that had that work week was over-the-moon about it, too.

I worked 80 hours a week and then a week off for 20 years as a night shift pharmacist. I loved it. My first day off I just slept and drank a little whiskey and rested. The next six day wife and I did anything we wanted as in short trips etc. When I took vacation time I would burn 80 hours of my work week and thus get 21 days off. I really liked working this way but it is not for most people. My kids were grown and gone so it worked for me. This is not good for a family with young kids at home but it was great for me.

The other pharmacists liked that me and my other partner on the opposite shift did this. They were mostly younger with family and kids and thus they did not have to work the night shift.
