Our fields are cleared of beans now but only half the beans in Hubby’s cousin’s field have been harvested. They’ve had to go slowly because so many plants were knocked over by high winds during a storm a couple of months ago.
We’ll have one more dusty day of harvest once the beans have dried from the rain yesterday. blech!
I don’t know if he’ll plant wheat or rye this year or not. I hope he does because the fields will be green through winter. Much nicer than the drab brown they are now.
Those dratted tickets sure do make it difficult to catch up on your paperwork, don’t they?
A haphazard list at best. LOL!! Little things done.
Good evening, Larry...
Still in Maine, or have you made it home now?
4pm Alaska time on Saturday and Sunday...always.
Let’s see...8pm Eastern, 7pm Central, 6pm Mountain, and 5pm Pacific, BUT just on the weekend.
Howdy! It was a good day and it warmed up into the 60s today. There were clouds in the area but we got no rain.
Sorry it’s going to frost over night there. I know you aren’t ready for it to be THAT cold! Good night to be indoors curled up with the kitties! :)
Same here ... a little here, a little there, with breaks in between. LOL
Glad you had a good day and a warm one.
Those 60s are supposed to arrive here tomorrow but we’ll see. I hope so since I’ll be pulling duty at the “R” women’s tent again.
Don’t really want frost but we need one to shock the trees so their leaves will be colorful. Everything’s still dark green right now.
Perfect description, especially the breaks in between.
And I’m planning on watching a movie tonight...me and my blankie and the lounge chair. No computer! LOL! Laundry is done. Working on threads now.
LOL! I just put clean laundry away too. A couple more little “projects” and I’m through for the night.
Enjoy your movie this evening.
Ooo...in that case, I hope you get those 60s. Lower than that and the tent is going to be pretty uncomfortable!
Our leaves are still green, too. We don’t have many colorful trees around here, though. The prettiest ones are the fruitless pear trees that turn red. The rest are really blah. Hope you get the color you want!
The weather report just ended and they say 65 or so tomorrow and 68 Tues. Then low 60s the rest of the week.
It’ll still be chilly when the morning gals arrive at the tent but should be ok by noon when I get there. We do have sides for the tent to block wind if it’s blowing.
The trees are usually turning by now, even if it’s brownish red or yellow, but even up on the mountain they’re green. It hasn’t been all that warm lately so I’m a little surprised.
We’re under a frost advisory tonight but I believe we’ll get a freeze. It’s already 37 degrees and an hour away from midnight. I had to break out the tiny heater for under my desk because my feet were turning into ice cubes.
Howdy, my!
I haven’t thought about The Damned in a long time. They do rock it!
They do
Gotta go see if the Doc can keep my rosey bag of bones alive in the morrow too
Iv’e made it this far..
Look out!
Good evening, Luv...a true hero indeed.
Wow. It’s cooled down fast. Sort of what we had last Sunday. Only ours didn’t quite reach freezing except for the wind chill. Nothing froze. I think the kittens thought they were, though. LOL!
I hope you have sox on those feets! LOL! I probably won’t see my feet till next spring except in the tub. :)
