PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania -- Police are responding to reports of an active shooter at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The Pittsburgh Public Safety Department tweeted that an active shooter is in the vicinity of Shady Avenue and Wilkins Avenue.
Two synagogues, New Light Congregation and Congregation Dor Hadash, are in that area.
Police have not reported any casualties at the moment.

Lived in the area for about 20+ years. Very nice people, safe, friendly, Less Jewish then it was when I moved there, and lost some of the charm with many of the little shops gone & now too many coffee & tea shops instead. Felt very welcomed when I moved there, by people much different than me. Feel very sad about this shooting, partially because of my connections to the area.
